I think the best way to buy petrol is the ones where you drive up to the kiosk after taking the fuel.
I have only seen this at asda petrol stations so far.
But it avoids the inconvenience of having to go inside the shop and also avoiding the problems associated with the pay at pump. Best of both worlds.
lol Last time I did this someone before me had paid for my petrol so I paid for theirs lol Luckily it was cheaper.0 -

I agree, it's all rather sad - especially the OP's insistence in referring to her 62 year old mother as 'elderly'

this sounds like something you should take up with the garage owner as the pump is clearly incorrectly calibrated. £20 o fuel should gain you £20 of fuel not any less. i have a friend who services air conditioning units and also sells second hand refrigeration, he is of the opinion that the pump is not functioning correctly. trading standards could be an option.
i am still boycotting shell as are many others i hope including all those i know. i visited the shop today as i needed some provisions but did not purchase fuel and never will again.
Subway Lady used to vow never to patronise them again and yet continued to visit, reporting back on the latest example of "appalling service".0 -
