I wish my local Shell would get pay@pump fitted. Always prefer it than going into shop to pay. At any petrol station not just Shell.

    Whys that Lee?

Is it you don't like people, or are you afraid of the Halal Sandwiches?

I wonder if Emz11 knows a brain surgeon?

Seeing as she's the worlds only living brain donor, she must be on first name terms with one :D

that is the final time i ever visit a shell petrol station

visited this evening with a friend only to find a significant police presence around the area. upon entering the forecourt we were given a dirty look by a police officer and then followed to our petrol pump. we were not asked any questions. i approached a police officer and he informed me there was a heavy presence due to a recent offence.

we decided we did not feel safe remaining in the area and so opted to leave without making a purchase. i will not be returning.

But I thought you had a friend who was a police officer. Surly that should have seen you all right?

    1) Saves time waiting for a vacant pump as queue moves quicker
    2) Saves time not having to go into shop and queue
    3) I hate people in busy places - probably from the years of working in retail
    4) ????
    5) Profit

that person works for a different constabulary so is unable to help in this scenario.

Emz is right, the police officer could have mugged her. I get chills down my spine when I see them, they seem to move in gangs these police officers.

What were you off to buy there Emz, those yummy halal sandwiches? Sorry you missed out.

    :D

I don't know. I always find that the queue is longer at these types of pumps, as people seem t lose all sense of reality and wait endlessly for someone to push a button in the booth. I understand about busy places, but you have to interact with humans sometimes.

Don't get what you mean about profit though. Is it that you don't have the chance of picking up a halal sandwich as an additional impulse buy, or you don't want to pay for the attendants wages? If the latter, you know you are still doing that don't you?
