well that is truly the last time I visit Shell

had to refuel and pick up some essentials this evening and discovered a stray dog on the forecourt. i went to the shop to report the dog as clearly this was not the norm and there was every chance the animal could have rabies which would be dangerous whilst dispensing petrol. the youth working in the shop informed me that it was not his problem. i replied that if that was his attitude i would not be purchasing fuel. he informed me that i had already pumped £1.84 worth of unleaded and would be required to pay. i refused. he said he would call the police if i did not pay so i said i would call the police if he did not deal with the dangerous dog.

i have a friend in the police so would be looked after anyway but this was a clear threat of intimidation by shell staff not to mention putting customers at risk of serious disease.

still not a true boycott then - you use the shell garage more than most - but yet are boycotting them - how does that work?? £1.84 worth of unleaded is not a boycott (pity full but not a boycott)

    idiot

I posted this a few days ago to someone who was lamenting that they'd missed all the fun:

Don't worry, just join right in.

Emz11 (OP) comes back every now and again with a gem of a post. :rotfl:
And what a corker this one is. :rotfl:

Oh Emz11 - you have left us dangling at this cliff-hanger.

    "He said" " I said"
So who won this stand-off? Or are you & the 'youth working in the shop' still on the forecourt arguing over the possibly rabid dog?

Also, I must congratulate you on your diverse circle of friends - which appears to be growing with every post you make. :T

What happened to the rabid dog? As most strays have rabies I feel we should all be told

Must have been an amazing day for the young worker. First a stray dog & the first proven living case via the Internet of a human without no working brain cells whatsoever!

Not unless it's specified by a hand written A4 sign! (verified by a conservatory fitter)

Only if you replace the petrol cap with a meatball.

I wonder if the rabid dog had a bag for life on its head?
