Anyone else think that it may be more than coincidence that Emz and KrissCross (mum angry at irresponsible pub) both pop back on here tonight after both have been absent for several days? Just a thought ....

Emz I find funny, KrissCross the opposite so no longer look at that thread.
    It's someone else's fault.

Avoid Jet too. Well the one that I used this morning anyway. I put £20 unleaded in and I'm sure the needle on the gauge is lower than what it usually is when I put £20 in anywhere else. Not happy.

This is just the issue that would have given the Brent platform boycott some teeth. I well remember cutting up my Shell loyalty card along with thousands of others and now I can see how successful we were. Birds are still cra**ing all along the East coast of Scotland and Shell are now so poor they cannot maintain there POS equipment properly. People power OK!

What's the warranty on a tank of petrol - there's no way when I buy one it lasts a year; can I demand my consumer rights?

there are no drugs at this petrol station but the staff do bring their own sandwiches to work sometimes, i see them smoking and eating nearby on occasion.

i visited the garage today to fill up my husband's car and they were able to accept cards. i informed them that they did not have a clear sign up stating that they accepted cards, but they declined to admit that they were required to do this.

Why wouldnt they accept cards ?

i am boycotting from today as should you. the problem is the other garage only sells to regular customers at special rate so is best avoided.

    I call b*ll*cks on that.

i have a friend who works in stairlift manufacture who informs me that a boycott can be considered a "compulsary public action" which does not provide a dedicated list of rules or timeframes that should be adhered to. it does however result in the action being seen as something which others are liable to face requirement to conduct.

I also call b*ll*cks on that.

Whatever you have been smoking, you like to share it.

The warranty on a full tank of petrol is that it has to get you to your destination.
If you run out and do not make your destination then the garage that sold you the petrol is held accountable.
I think that they have to put you up in a Travelodge and supply you with Subway vouchers
    Owing on CC £00.00 :j

I just have to post this:

Was browsing the Praise, Vent & Warnings board (as you do ;)) and noticed this thread:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4961015

    It's titled
    and then read this post:

    Honestly, you couldn't make it up. :rotfl:Well, I couldn't.

So, people - if you are one of the people who've joined Emz11's call to boycott Shell, you should also consider boycotting The Post Office - because they are a 'shell' company too. smiley-rolleyes008.gif

What is scary is that six people have thanked her for that:rotfl:

this sounds like something you should take up with the garage owner as the pump is clearly incorrectly calibrated. £20 o fuel should gain you £20 of fuel not any less. i have a friend who services air conditioning units and also sells second hand refrigeration, he is of the opinion that the pump is not functioning correctly. trading standards could be an option.

i am still boycotting shell as are many others i hope including all those i know. i visited the shop today as i needed some provisions but did not purchase fuel and never will again.
