Letter to my house came yesterday. Gone up to £180 and needs to be paid by 9th May.

Pretty sure they got my address from the appeal rather than the Dvla.

It was dated 56days after the incident.

But I think I still have something to fight given they didn't response to my appeal with the BPA guidelines?

They also claim they've been in contact with me before!! Surely they don't mean the text messages?

Did you make complaints to the bpa and dvla on this? Ignore debt recovery as they cannot take you to court
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

this letter is probably from the debt collectors and not from the parking company , especially at that figure

even if it went to court and you lost it could only be around the same figure, but its irrelevant if its £180 or £1800 as you do not pay , you ignore the DC and stick to your guns

the responses you are looking for are

    1) a reply from the BPA and DVLA (I assume you HAVE COMPLAINED to the BPA (and DVLA) as detailed in the coupon-mad reply above ?)

    2) a response from the parking company with cancellation or a popla code

    3) an LBC from the parking company , landowner or legally appointed agent

    4) court papers from northampton or salford

nothing else is of any interest, especially if its from DR plus who cannot do anything apart from send harassment texts and letters - all to be ignored as smoke and mirrors, bluster and noise - of no value whatsoever and definitely not worth wasting time reading

Remember, this is not a fine, but an invoice for an alleged trespass on private property. Only the Police and Council appointed traffic wardens can issue those.
Search my post " PoPLA evidence - What to submit" on what is a good defense for a PoPLA appeal.

Some people have done this before - issued a Personal Costs Notification. :)

In response to this - why hasn't the govt done anything to stop this then? Just curious....

It's a nice little earner for the DVLA - about £6m last year at £2.50 a time each time a PPC requests keeper details.
