Hi I renewed my tax credits by phone on 1st of May. I had called end of June wondering why I hadn't recieved my award notice for 14-15 and was adv not 8 weeks. I called again today as still not had anything as now 11wks and was told still not processed and took my number and said someone should get in contact within 3 weeks or might recieve notice within this time. I am getting worried that something is wrong as normally only takes 1-2 weeks previous years I have renewed. Anyone else got this problem? Thanks

    Have you heard anything yet?

This is my first experience of tax credit renewal nightmare ...forms sent back 02/05/2014 called in June and was told yes they were received but may not be processed until 11th July - 12th July rang them and was told not yet processed and would receive a call within 2 weeks - rang again today (28 minute wait) to be first answered by someone who said sorry I don't normally work tax credits I'll transfer you to someone who can help...finally nice chap answers but again says still not processed - there are no issues but still in a queue to be done...option he had was to refer again but already in the 12th week (norm is 8-10 weeks) for another promise of a call within 2 weeks or escalate to a manager for a call back within 10 days...in the end he said he would call me back by end of today to advise which route he opted for. All this because in my last award notice it mentioned a potential underpayment and with the school holidays it would be nice to know if I'm getting one so me & the kids can do something extra good
Is anyone else waiting this long???

I'm over 13 weeks now no letters or contact at all. I was told at 10 weeks (over 3 weeks ago) that I would receive a call back within three weeks but that has not happened. I can't be bothered calling again I will surely hear from them eventually!!! I renewed in April.

same situation as me, have you heard anything at all since?

It is possible yes but will depend on what income they were using to calculate your 2013/14 claim already. The most it would be is £398.

Your 2014/15 claim will be recalculated on your 2013/14 income of £19718 (unless you give a new estimate for this year). If due any money from 6th Apr it will be held as a potential payment until the end of the year but any payments from now will increase.

    Hi Blonde Bubbles
Finally my renewal has been finalised. I will only be recieving £24 underpayment, does this sound right? I was really expecting a few hundred pounds and cant see how they have arrived at £24.

    Thanks
  • I am hoping someone can help me :( I sent off my renewal in April. After the 8 weeks I phoned to be told to leave it a bit longer. I phoned again and was told someone would be in touch with me in 2 weeks. Nothing. I then phoned again and was told an email had been sent to head office and to phone back in 2 weeks if nothing was sent. I phoned today to be told that it still hasn't been processed, the time scales are only estimates, looking at my file their is no request for further information and he doesn't understand why its taking so long but that I just have to be patient and wait they cant do any more? Is this correct?
  • Still no renewal pack received here, so I'll chase it up again at then end of the week if it still isn't here.

But thankfully my normal payment went into my account today, so hopefully these payments will continue until I can return my renewal & then it can all be sorted out (hopefully before next years renewal pack is sent out :D)
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D

Rang again today - 29 minutes to be told I'll transfer you directly to someone who can tell you the progress - once again transferred not direct but to another queue and I eventually gave up on hold when my phone said I'd been on the phone for a total of 1 hour and 12 minutes - I am getting very annoyed after all this time !!:mad:
