anyone still waiting to hear back from them? renewed weeks ago still no award or change in payments0
-
I'm still waiting.
Renewed by post as soon as my pack came in early May. Then received a letter checking childcare and had to send proof by 6th July. Sent it back recorded and it was received by them on 18th June. Childcare provider hasn't received any contact from HMRC and still no final award notice or response to the info that I sent.
Tried getting through on the helpline to chase but just can't get through. Getting really concerned now.0 -
My payments dropped £100 a week quite a few weeks ago, which as a single parent with a 6yo and 1yo and childcare to pay has left me a little screwed. i rang tax credits who told me they got my income from last year and it was 12000 when i told them 8000. I pointed out the allowance i could take off for maternity and she said there was nothing that could be done til i renewed. luckily my pack came the very same day and i renewed with my new 9000 figure. They have said my renewal should be completed by the 2nd August and still cant up my payments til then. £100 a week is a massive loss and i am really struggling. will i get a lump sum back to account for what i should have had in those weeks or will they just amend future payments?0

I had childcare check last year and took them 12 weeks in total from the time i renewed and they didnt contact the nursery they just used all the paperwork i sent in.. There will be nothing to worry about they just take a very long time another poster had the same issues as myself last year.0 -

Thanks. It's around 9 weeks for me currently since sending my form back and 3 weeks since they received my evidence of childcare. Hope it's all resolved soon, it's a compete contrast from previous years whereby the renewal has always been completed within a few weeks.0 -
Unbelievable - they assume you got it wrong or committed fraud unless you advise them otherwise. Why can't the forms have boxes for pension deductions etc, or a free format box where you can explain deductions, like on tax returns and benefits forms?
Also why can't they just look up pension contributions, after all the pension company will have claimed tax relief from HMRC and they have your NI number, so HMRC should know exactly how much you've contributed to a private pension.
Same thing happened to us. I put in the correct income and they "fixed" it for me! Really annoying as you have to get through to the helpline which takes ages and then go through every single thing (pension payments, deductions for payments to professional bodies, gift aid payments). The person on the other end said that for the first time this year they are comparing the income on the form with that of HMRC and if they are different they use the one from HMRC. Can't believe how stupid this is!
This would be so much better to be done on the form if that's what they want. The person on the other end didn't know anything about tax credit deductions nor how to spell any word I told him so it probably took over half an hour - I can't believe that is going to save money.0 -

My renewal form had a hmrc figure £20k higher then actual earnings. i renewed online and it took 4 and half weeks to get final award but they used the figure i gave them.
now i have to wait for a letter to sign because on the final award they have put my earnings from the previous tax year on it. (i have always kept them updated and didn't work this tax year)0 -
Hi wonder if someone could offer some advice.
I posted off tax credit renewal on 8th of May which was received on the 12th of May, it still hasn't been processed. I've called a few times chasing it up, as I was concerned that maybe I was sent a compliance letter, not received it then payments would stop when I failed to send info back. Been advised no letter has been sent doesn't appear to be any checks taking place so why is it taking so long?
I'm a single parent, working part time with no childcare. They have given me date of 21st July as it'll then be 10 weeks, but what happens if it's not processed by then? I don't normally worry about the renewal process but this is stressing me out, I feel like I'm guilty of doing something wrong!0 -
I renewed on-line on the 11th of June. I phoned to check on 24th of June and was told that it had not been processed yet. It is now five weeks and still nothing. It has never taken as long as this other years. will phone again before July 31.0
