we renewed Monday and just gave them a quick call and not been sorted yet.

last year took 2 days and about a week in all to receive paperwork but that was beginning of may and I suppose they would be a lot less busier then.

no childcare, 3 children and just partners full time earnings.

How are people managing to get through to them? Every time I try it says they're too busy to take my call?

I would suggest leaving them be for now. The timescale provided is at least 8 weeks for the renewal to process (although it can be much quicker).

If people call every other day to check, it just makes it harder for those trying to get through to actually complete it/make changes etc

    yes I agree...

I just was hoping for as quick completion as last year.

although like I said this time of year might have been a lot busier than when I renewed last year {early may}.

I have just rang and spoke to a nasty man, all I asked was weather I was going to get my normal payment on Monday. Was told he wasn't aloud to tell me that and I have to wait until I receive award notice which could be weeks away.
I rang them Tuesday and have income details and renewed at the same time.

it really does depend who you get on the other end..

I have had some real horrible ones but also some very helpful too..

I am now going to leave it to them and let them do it, I just hoped it was as quick as last year.

when you get a person who makes you feel like crap it really makes you feel awful.

I just rang too and was told my renewal has still not been processed and they couldn't give me any further information. This is after she left me on hold for 5 minutes 'reading my notes'. If there is so much to read there must be something on there she could tell me!

Really fed up with it this year as not received any payments this month and struggling financially.

Hi I think they have been told not to give any info about renewals out after it's been done coz so many people ring for updates
  • I must be one of the lucky ones I have been lucky to always talk to helpful ones.
The last guy was brill, told me my payments because mine was auto renewal that was issued over 2 weeks before and still hadn't received. he even told me the figure they had used from rti which matched my p60.

    Blondebubbles -
Had my renewal finalized and received last years and this years award - instead of paying a lump to us of £1400 they've added it onto this coming years award - but bizarrely they have made a small payment from last year of £178 - so Ive received £178 but they've carried over £1400 from last years award to increase payments this year - why would that be?
I appreciate we still be getting up but tbh we could do with the lump sum more than the spread of payment atm.
Can I get the lump paid in anyway now?
    TIA

I've never heard of them doing that unless you had an overpayment in the current year.

    Sorry.
