I rang up tax credits about my post above.

Apparently when my renewal pack was generated it resulted in an extra payment, so when I get my renewal the guy told me that my payments will be £264 a month and not the £290 I have been getting, then when I renew with my income for 12/13 they will adjust the £264.

Hi Too much debt, which date are you expecting your renewal pack by? Are you in the 24th May deadline group? Wish I knew my renewal pack was on its way!

    Hi

No I am 5th June group. I didn't get it until June last year so will be early for me. Not sure how long it takes to come.

Think they always advise to allow two weeks for renewal to be received after it's been issued.
  • I always get my renewal pack April and I'm so impatient!

But I guess I'll have to wait!

I know there isn't a set time but I don't understand why I always get it 20th April and this year it's still not arrived 😁 and could be any time up to June.

Last year I had a 10-12 week review but previous years it was all completed by first week in may

I'm exactly the same georgiasdragons.....I always get mine in April and like to get it done and dusted. My deadline for receiving it is 24th May....and as that date looms nearer I'm worried it doesn't arrive....wish it would hurry up and come...I hate ringing the helpline! I have made a note of the date I receive my renewal every year since tax credits first started and have never ever waited this long for it!

Arghh.....I feel like screaming! Just rang the helpline to check my renewal is on it's way.....only to be told hasn't even been generated yet! When I said that I thought it would arrive by 24th May as I receive full amount of child tax credit was told that this was " no hard and fast rule". Great! So folks, don't rely on that timetable on the OP too much!!
  • I guess we just hope were not building up overpayments.

I have earnt more than estimated.

Yes..me too! My husband is self employed although last few years haven't been good, am however very mindful of building up overpayment, as we did one year and found it difficult to manage on greatly reduced monthly payments.
  • Mine arrived today. I'm in the 24th May group. I can't send mine back yet though because I need my P60 and P11D from work. I rang payroll today and they said that I SHOULD have it by the end of this month. I've got until the end of July to return the form but I just like to get it done.
