Yes I'm going to plough everything into the debts for 12 months, the chipping away refers to the little extras from online bits and bobs.
The maternity leave is less of an issue to me recently, I think I could get away with maybe 8-12 weeks off as I have a couple of back up childminders that could help out for that length of time. I love my job so although I'd be extremely tired I could cope.
Hubby is on board with it all too. We're planning free/ cheap days out for our summer hols, every extra penny going on the debts.
I am not massively overweight but I am unfit. I comfort eat so when I'm stressed the chocoholic side of me rears its ugly head!
I really appreciate everyone's comments. It's nice to hear different perspectives.Making £1,000 plus every month from home :T0 -
A friend from years ago was 1 of 3, the middle girl between 2 boys. Her comment was that they were never a group of 3. They were either boys v girl, 2 older v younger or 2 younger v older. She was planning to stick at 2 or go for 4.
Don't know if this applies to other threesomes or not.0 -
It's not always the case but I have 6,9 and 10 years between me and my siblings and I feel it is a big deal. There's a massive gap between my brothers and I, and a much smaller gap between them. I don't think it means anything.
they are alluch closer to each other than I am as they aren't far apart and even now at 27 I feel not as close as I wish I could be. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I had 3 within 4 years. The youngest is now 5 and has a disability which awards to the stress of having 3. Personally I wouldn't plan anymore children while I was in debt. I think what you say about paying that off for a year then reasses sounds sensible. A lot of the expense of older children is down to peer pressure of what you think you should give them as society promotes it. Children can be as cheap or expensive as you choose IMO.Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

I was one of three and I liked how if one didn't want to play or talk then the other might. Even as an adult it's good to have the two siblings for going out, getting advice, splitting costs when buying presents for the parents.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

Thanks everyone.
Had a good week money-wise, paid an extra £50 off the cards. Plan to pay another £50 off the big one on Tuesday too. Will be nice to see that go under £7000 in next few weeks!! It was over £8000 a year or so back, only kept track since November.
Happy with the plan of having a re-think next year, gives me a goal to pay off as much debt as possible and decide if we definitely want a third child which I'm pretty sure will still be the case.Making £1,000 plus every month from home :T0
