Janey's Journey to Becoming a MFW

Wow! If that's what you can achieve when you're tired, I wonder what you can achieve when you're not! Good on you.
Any plans for the weekend?Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

I can sometimes go through lists of jobs like that almost on automatic when I'm really tired. Not sure how, and it's quite rare! I just wanted to get them done then relax.
Unfortunately I ended up staying up late tonight and finishing my book, which was brilliant but made me cry! It was Citadel by Kate Mosse and I really enjoyed it from start to finish. Was very tired this morning and ended up buying lunch which I almost never do
OH had the day off today to have the first meeting with the architect and it all sounds positive. It's going to be expensive for all the planning and building regs stuff, but at least he put OH off the (stupid) idea of a roof terrace :T Also we can just have one set of plans but only do a single story extension now, then choose whether to add to it or not at a later date.
Had my hair done after work so definitely not a NSD, but feeling all neat and tidyIf only it would last!
Looking forward to the weekend, physio and seeing Mum tomorrow then out for the day on SundayI'm sure I'll spend a bit of time on here too!

Evening everyone :hello:
The trouble with this whole MFW malarkey, is that most of the time nothing happens. There's a flurry of transferring and 'spreadsheeting' around payday, then there's nothing to do until next payday!
Today have been fairly spendy, but all budgeted for. I went to pilates then the physio this morning and my back is feeling so much better. There's still a way to go and it will need lifelong maintenance, but it's really positive at the moment.
This afternoon, OH and I took the dog for a 3 mile walk by the sea in the sun then shared some chips on the way back.
I'm now snuggled on the sofa with the dog, drinking a cuppa and watching something I recorded yonks ago - rock and roll
Ooh, I also ordered a load of summer shoes from N£xt, and only the cheapest were any good! Will still need some smartish ones for work but these will do to start with

Yes, the end of the month is fun, with doing the transfers around the accounts, and reviewing progress etc.
It seems ages until the end of the next month - then there's that flurry of excitement again!Early retired - 18th December 2014

We have had a lovely sunny day here today, if a little cool in the wind. Luckily we spent a few hours outside
Quite a spendy day though, lunch bought from Mr T then treated ourselves to an ice cream this afternoon
I may also have ordered a wedding dress  We don't even have a date, venue or budget yet! The thing is, I loved it the minute I saw it and I'm worried that if I don't at least try it on, it will go out of stock and I will regret it, and maybe not be able to find anything that I think is as good! I know myself quite well by nowThat's how I'm justifying it anyway
I did hold back from ordering the shoes I like though :A
Spreadsheets are all up to date and I'm looking forward to some more DDs etc going out just so I can record them!
At the risk of repeating myself - I'm still really tired! OH had heartburn in the night and I had trouble getting back to sleep.
All housework is up to date and I'm planning to do my school work tomorrow morning, before going out for a long walk

I just wrote a long, grumbling post and decided to delete it so you don't have to read it! In summary, still feeling grotty with this cold which won't go; didn't go anywhere today due to feeling carp; feeling stressed about school tomorrow
MFW news - not much. Haven't been out so NSD but TD has been on twice because of the rain.
However, OH has just returned with chips so not much of a NSD! Paid for from 'date night' envelope as he thinks I need cheering up
My goal for the next week is to get back into a routine - going to bed at a sensible time and all that. I'm really fed up with feeling run down and hoping this will help!

I tend to split my payments across the month, moving 1/30 of savings between spreadsheet columns etc. once a day. It keeps me involved, makes me feel like I'm always working towards the goal and helps entertain me as I'm a fidget!
Have you looked at Green Deal financing for any of your home improvements? Granted, it won't subsidise terraces etc., but it sounds like you might be in need of some energy efficient windows and insulation?0
