Janey's Journey to Becoming a MFW

Thanks Tilly and Mouche. I really didn't mean to come across so annoyed! Although I didn't read you advice until just now, I actually did go and eat the last of the Easter chocolate whilst watching Jamaica Inn
I came home early to check on the dog and she's much more back to her usual self. We'll try a short W A L K (in case she hears me typing :rotfl:) later. I'm just having a quick cuppa and slice of birthday cake before starting on the mountain of work I had to bring home. Definitely not going to catch up on any dairies, honest

Just a quick couple of questions, if anyone can help!
1. I occasionally use cashback websites and haven't had much of a problem before, but my last 3 purchases haven't tracked so I have lodged two claims with TCB and one with £co. Am I doing something wrong?
2. What other ways can you earn cashback with the above sites? I keep reading references to things on other people's diaries but I'm a bit clueless about it. I just use it when shopping online (if I remember).
Thanks for any replies! I really am going to do my work now

hi janey...I'm by no means an expert but with purchases not tracking, you must clear the cache on your browser before you log into the cashback site and click through to the retailer. Let me know which browser you use if you want detailed instructions on how to do this.
It's important to do this because if you visit a retailer and then think 'oh I think I'll buy that - let me go through Quidco' and then log into Quidco and click through - the browser remembers your first visit and doesn't track the second one through the cashback site - if that makes sense?
The only other suggestion I have is to register your credit card with the cashback site (I know Quidco do this - not sure about TCB). That way if you shop at a participating retailer in-store - you earn cashback.
Oh and also you can download the ClickSnap app (Quidco) onto your smartphone. It tells you about supermarket items that offer cashback. If you buy any of them you need to take a photo of the receipt and upload it via the app to get the cashback - I only use this if they are offering cashback on something I would buy anyway.
Hope that helps. I use Quidco only so hope someone comes by to give you tips on TCB.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

Thanks Mouche,
I'm usually careful to delete cookies etc first but maybe I've missed something? Thanks for the tips on ClickSnap and the credit card, I'll look into these when I have time...

All I can say is TFI Friday:eek:
Thank goodness it was only a 4 day week! How will I cope with 5 whole days next week?
We have a really busy weekend planned and I need to:
1. Go to physio - back is killing
2. Go to birthday bbq (probably indoors)
3. Exercise class
4. Shopping order from Mr T
5. Do a load of filing
6. Still have about an hour of marking to do
7. About 2 hours of school work
8. Post passport forms (after forcing OH to complete his )
9. Get OH to send off details for new current account
Not too bad as lists go, well, better than some weekends!

Thanks Lois! Dog is good, marking is being put off until tomorrow

Still a fair bit to do tomorrow but we spent the afternoon with friends so have had a lovely day. I left my OH at the bbq so goodness only knows what kind of state he will be in when he gets home
In money news, we spent a bit on food and a few drinks for the bbq, but I just did the Mr T order which came in at under £40 so I'm very pleased with that. My letter arrived about my new N@tionwide account so I just need to sign and return that. I'm keen to open their ISA and credit card
Also OH was paid yesterday, so shuffled his money around. He had to pay back his overdraft before switching to 1st direct though, so couldn't put too much into the holiday fund.
Off to catch up on diaries, before getting an early night I think"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Hi SF - still got 10 books to mark
Oh dear, list not done and feeling rubbish! Yesterday afternoon I started feeling cold, shivery and aching from head to toe. I dragged myself to work then came home at lunchtime. I've just woken up after sleeping all afternoon and I'm feeling shivery and achy again. I hate taking time off and my class are about to sit their exams, so not sure what to do
Does it count as a NSD if I asked OH to pick me up some night nurse? :rotfl:
