Yay we have finally remortgaged and the extra money is in our account :j:j:j
Not quite as much as we were expecting as they've added even more fees and VAT, but it's a big relief
Just need to get Halifax to refund our last mortgage payment and it'll all be done and dusted :T
Edit:
Honeymoon fund topped up to 100%
Emergency fund topped up to 100%
Renovation target increased and now at 80% :T"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

I've got quite a long list of jobs for the morning (sit in garden is on the list) and off out with a friend at 3 so better get cracking.
Mortgage payment has not cleared on my account yetWill need to check regularly until it does as I want my money back!

It's Friday so I guess I'd better start thinking about schoolwork - ugh
Had a lovely evening with friends last night, but with maybe a little bit too much wine so had a slow start this morning. I have already managed to calm my mum's panic over paint colours though, so not doing too badly :rotfl::eek::rotfl:
After a long phonecall, Halifax will be refunding our last mortgage payment next week and the new lender are only taking £140 this month leaving about £300 left over for our savings :T
Weather is crappy and grey so not sure whether to hang out washing or not. Don't plan to use the tumble dryer but currently using clothes horse to keep puppy dogs off the sofas. Fed up with getting a hairy backside every time I sit down
Does anyone know which osprey is in the nest? I'm not really caught up with the whole family/nest history yet but there were two there the other day. Very addictive...
Anyway, better get on with my day..."It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Phew, just had a big catch-up on gg's and SF's diaries, will read the rest sometime soon I promise
Have had a mad couple of weeks at work, everyone is either miserable or leaving. Management seem oblivious to any problem - good times:eek:
In financial news -
* remortgage complete, money in bank ready to start building work :eek:
* OH paid Friday :j:j:j but I don't get anything until Thursday so bit of a disjointed money shuffle going on.
* I'm having a bit of a mad spending frenzy as I realise practically all of my clothes need replacing and there are big gaps in my wardrobe. So far have bought new summer coat, vest tops, sunglasses. Bought but waiting to arrive - underwear, walking shoes, t-shirts, cardigans... Need new pjs as will be staying with family and can't remember the last time I bought pjs
Wedding is now less than 4 weeks away :eek::eek: and still bits and pieces to do. Spent the weekend decorating jam jars. Need more jam jars
Hair and makeup lady has been taken ill in hospital - er when do I start panicking???
In 4 weeks time I will be married and packing for our honeymoon, trying to focus on this no matter what emergency crops up between now and then i.e. do I really like the colour of the napkins? :rotfl::eek::rotfl:"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes.
