I'm still feeling pretty tired today, not helped by walking 7 miles yesterday  What were we thinking! My feet hurt
On a positive note, the lurcher still-just-about-a-puppy is absolutely shattered, and a tired dog is a good dog
OH was paid on Friday so I did the end of month transfers and it's been a really good month! Mainly because we were paid a bit more than usual.
We saved 50% of our income.
Our renovation pot is full (for now) and our wedding savings are at 97%.
We're really pleased with these figures, but I'm not expecting it to be that good again as I'm not planning on taking on any extra work from now on.
I've got a massive list for today so I'd better make a start!"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

So far today:
Bedroom, spare room and living room tidied and cleaned.
Filing done and huge amount of paperwork decluttered.
Have now run out of steam so sitting down for a cuppa and a bit of time reading diaries
Still to do:- Unload/load dishwasher
- Clean kitchen, you know, even under the microwave
- Book Dr appointment
- Re-book dentist as they cancelled
- Work out some sort of exercise plan for some big event that's coming up...
- Write another wedding 'to do' (panic) list - it's only 7 weeks away now
- Walk dogs

Yaay! It's payday for me at last :j
OH's wages have managed to cover all of our bills this month so my spare £££ went straight into savings which is a first for us. I think OH is more on board this month as we're discussing starting a family.
:j:j:jWedding savings are now topped up to 100% and 62% into the honeymoon fund.:j:j:j
As I feel the end is in sight, I've started a 'maternity and baby' page on the savings spreadsheet which may be getting ahead of myself slightly :rotfl:
I did lots of jobs yesterday but really struggled with feeling tired all day.
A busy day ahead. I've just got to post the legal stuff for our new mortgage this morning then hopefully they might decide to actually give us the money at last
The lovely ladies from the greyhound rescue are coming for their follow-up visit and I can't wait to tell them how much we [STRIKE]put up with[/STRIKE] love him
Seeing mum this afternoon, then yoga, with a few jobs to do in between.

Having a maternity/baby fund is a great idea, I wish we'd started before now!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I know it's stupid, but I almost feel that if we start preparing for a baby like by saving, we might jinx it and take longer to conceive.
And this is coming from someone who is not religious or superstitious :rotfl::rotfl:"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

If you start saving for a baby then you can always have more choices later on.
I don't think you are tempting fate.
Do you work full time? Just wondering as you rescued a doggle?0 -
I know, I really definitely don't believe in fate, but it's sort of wired into the way my brain works with things like this!
I work 4 days a week, one of which isn't contracted. When we got the dog I came home at lunchtimes to let him out, but he's fine now, just sleeps the day away"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. When I looked into rescuing they wouldn't let me if I worked more than three hours at a time!0

This one said 4 hrs so popping home at lunch was ok. We don't bother now he is settled but do set up a webcam from time to time to make sure he is relaxed
He throws some interesting shapes when sleeping which looks hilarious on fast forward :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
