I only seem to post lists at the moment! Was going to do one for tomorrow but think I'll leave it.

    T£sco credit card closed.
£21 interest moved to renovation pot.
    Still no ebay refund.

:) No pain today and I've planned meals involving only carbs - rice, pasta, veg with protein from beans and quorn. Hopefully it will be low fat enough to avoid any more attacks. I'm going to call the dr tomorrow and find out about being referred privately. Trying to stay calm.

I would love to have something like the final countdown or the Game of Thrones theme but haven't got the nerve to pull it off!

I went to a wedding where the groom arrived to a string version of the Imperial March from Star Wars, very well received :rotfl:

It has been suggested! We're more likely to go for lord of the rings than starwars :rotfl:

What a week  TFI Friday :j

Had scan privately on Tuesday and it found...nothing! No gallstones and all organs in that area look ''normal''. Dr has given me omeprazole (spelling?) to try :( I know it's not bloody indigestion and she didn't seem to think it was likely to help either but I know they have to rule things out. Meanwhile I am terrified of eating the wrong thing and being struck down with unbearable pain followed by the effects of stupidly strong codeine :(

Still hoping whatever it is might just go away on it's own... I'm not sure I'll ever be able to face brie again but I've just eaten chips from the chippy so we shall see!

Payday today was brilliant. I did so much overtime in Jan that I earnt more than when I worked full-time :j

    Money update :j
    • Last months savings reached a slightly disappointing 33% of our income
    • This month has already smashed that :j
    • We have reached our savings target in the renovation pot. Now we just need our re-mortgage to hurry up and get approved and we'll have the money in place to start work :) Currently 47% of the total.
    • Emergency fund now at 92% after paying for scan. We want to pay for the wedding and honeymoon before concentrating on this again.
    • Wedding fund now at 89%
    • Honeymoon still at 0%

Feeling really tired this weekend! I'm going to make a real effort to sleep better and drink more water this week so I hopefully won't feel so crap next weekend.

£7.51 NW interest transferred to the wedding column.

It's looking like the wedding and honeymoon should (fingers crossed) all be paid off before the day itself and I spent a little time this morning thinking about what we will be saving for next.
    1. Increase emergency fund to £7000, about £4k needed.
    2. Save for baby related stuff - £1000? Any ideas how much as an overall figure? Car seats and cloth nappies seem to be popular topics on other threads!
    3. Save for shortfall in income during maternity leave - approx £1500. As we live well below our means at the moment, I just want a bit to cover the final three unpaid months for piece of mind really.
    4. Hope we actually can have a baby

This should be achievable by the end of the year. Of course, we will also need a new kitchen and other bits that we haven't budgeted for with the building work. Then it will be a 'new-to-us' car I expect!

Will we ever be done with the savings? :rotfl:

Um I am fine eating quorn but DB has suffered really bad IBS type symptoms whenever he has had it.

    Could it be that?

    Its a thing apparently.

    Thanks Al,

Quorn is definitely OK to eat. I have had IBS for years but manage pretty well generally. My symptoms pretty much exactly match those of gallbladder pain and apparently it can cause pain without having stones. Two of the 'attacks' occurred after eating mushrooms and brie so that is now off the menu :o And also eggs and cashew nuts.

I'm taking the tablets and trying things gradually and have now been a week pain free :j Unfortunately I don't believe we have gotten to the bottom of it and I have read that these things can come and go until the Dr gets fed up and decides to do more tests :(
