Habi is so right about the major part of your soul.0

I prescribe an afternoon or evening just chill in' in a pub garden, or romantically walking along the beach / park / local beauty spot etc. Get thee outdoors with the other half and pooch and breathe a bit this weekend m'dear x
You're completely right - I do need some relax time! Unfortunately I'm having to bring a lot of work home which means less time for household chores etc. One thing I did manage a couple of times this week, is getting home from work early and sitting in the sun with a book for half an hour - bliss"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. Very true - my class have been absolute horrors today! They are 11 going on 18:eek: I've had to step back and count to 10 before speaking to them a few times this week!
Thanks for all your advice Hbbb, I will try to refer back to that from time-to-time! We always meal plan but OH always wants to cook big meals - I have finally persuaded him to stick to quick things this week!
MFW actions:- Another NSD :A Did get some eggs from lady at work but haven't paid yet
- Metre reading taken and amount outstanding is gradually coming down
- Ordered more pegs to make full use of new washing line
- Mr T order came to nearly £80  I always aim for less than £50 so this is quite an overspend! It does contain a lot of fruit and veg, meat for the freezer and bulk buy of things on offer so should help in the long run
Diet and exercise:
Still feeling starving today! Ate: cereal, yogurt, 1 chocolate finger, roll, cereal bar, two penguin biscuits:o, handful of cashews, veggie sausages, mash and veg. The chocolate biscuits could have been avoided but believe me - I only ate half of what I wanted to eat :rotfl:
Tonight we got our bikes out for the first time in about 2 years - ouch:eek::eek::eek: Stupid new cycling app didn't load the distance but it was definitely a few miles and a bit hilly. I literally thought I might die at one point but managed to keep going. OH is so much stronger than meI also need to build confidence cycling on more busy roads as I haven't owned a bike while living in a town before. Feeling a real sense of achievement though as we've been talking about it for ages
To do list:-
[STRIKE]
- Shopping order
- Wash whites
- Wash non-whites
- Get bikes out
- Clean dining room[/STRIKE]
Happy thoughts- 3:30pm on a Friday
- Wizzing down a hill on your bike like you used to do as a child :j
- Smily dog jumping all over you when you collapse in a heap after aforementioned bike ride :rotfl:
- A fully completed to do list :T

Morning all
Bit of a late catch up for yesterday! It's another sunny day here :j I'm feeling a little bit foggy this morning because we went to our local pub to see a band last night. I can only manage 2 drinks nowadays - I'm so rock 'n roll:rotfl:
MFW actions:- 3 loads of washing dried on my lovely new washing line :j
- Bit spendy other than that (pasty, ice cream and previously mentioned 2 drinks) but it's the weekend and we made a conscious choice to treat ourselves and chose cheap options
- Went to a free event in the afternoon. Saw lots of friends and celebrated the spectacular culmination of a project we have been involved with for the last few years :T
Diet and exercise:- Not the most healthy food wise but I didn't overeat and yet didn't feel hungry all day!
- Missed pilates this morning as the time just ran away from me!
To do list: Easy one today
[STRIKE]Peg out washing to dry
Try on stuff from N£xt
Take birthday card round to brother[/STRIKE]
Happy thoughts
Washing dried in the sun
Seeing family happy
Playing with over-excited puppy until he falls asleep on you :rotfl:

That's so exciting! Well worth a countdown :TAlchemilla wrote: »Can we have a photo of puppy?
Will try to locate one on brother's FB page then work out how to upload it here!
I had a lovely day today helping OH in the garden - only 4 fence panels to go! Unfortunately, when I was about to start doing a few hours of school work, I heard a strange chirping noise coming from the woodburner. Turned out it was a baby seagull! OH managed to take it apart to get the chick out and we initially thought it was a crow because he was so black! We then had an hour and a half round trip to the bird rescue because he was too young to fly back up to the nest. The lady said he's in good condition though so should be fine :T
The result of this, however, was that by the time I'd cleaned up the soot (how does it get everywhere?) and made dinner, I only managed to do the bare minimum amount of work. Oh well...
MFW actions:
NSD :j
Towels dried on line
Diet and exercise:
Not too bad as I missed lunch due to the seagull incident: 2 boiled eggs and 1 slice toast, grapes, cereal bar, veggie burger with small amount of blue cheese in a brown roll with a large salad - yummy :T
6 mile bike ride
To do list:
[STRIKE]Peg out towels to dry[/STRIKE]
Return clothes to N£xt
[STRIKE]Ring Mr T to complain
Help OH with fence in garden
School work
Bike ride[/STRIKE]

I'm going to take Hbbb's advice this week and start deep cleaning the house in 15 minute bursts, starting with the bookcase as I want to send a load to charity.

Lucky seagull to have got into your woodburner. I'm sure I wouldn't have known what to do to help it. Yours will live to see another day thanks to you and your OH.
Keep going with the diet. When I got married, my mum said she would cancel the wedding if I didn't lose 5kg before D-Day - that certainly put the boot up my backside and I've never looked better than in my wedding pics.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)
