Yay it's the weekend!
I'll do a proper update tomorrow but I couldn't wait to tell you that I've got a wedding dress! It's still for sale on the website for £650 but I got it from ebay for £300 :T :T :T It's it perfect condition and I was worried it would be too small but it fits like it was made for me! I'm so chuffed!

Hello everyone
I see I've been absent for nearly a month  The two weeks leading up to our holiday were completely manic at work and I had so much to sort out at home it was very hectic!
We returned home last night from our 2 weeks holiday in Greece and it was AMAZING! Definitely my 'holiday of a lifetime' so far.
Today I have a few jobs to do at home. I've already done a load of washing and hung it outside for it to get rained on  so it's now in the dryer. I've also spent ages sorting out the spreadsheets which was complicated because we were away over the month end/beginning and I'm still waiting for some card payments to show on the account.
I need to:- Finish unpacking
- Finish washing
- Upload photos
- Have a general tidy
- Put Mr T shopping away when it arrives
- Work out what I need to do for RM surveys (got accepted just before our holiday so I'm a couple of weeks behind already )
- Catch up on here
I haven't got the post-holiday blues yet but OH certainly did when he left for work this morning
Hope you are all well, I'll be back for a catch-up later,

Wow I've had an exciting couple of hours
I have just overhauled my savings spreadsheet and am very pleased with it. While I was at it I decided to empty our renovation savings pot to fill up the wedding savings. I know it sounds silly (especially considering that no money has actually moved, just figures on a spreadsheet) but I felt quite nervous about doing this , probably because we have been saving towards the house for years. Now we can just save into the renovation pot and focus on the one goal, knowing that the wedding is paid for, which should simplify things!
Hope OH agrees when he gets home from work

Welcome back!
Glad you had a good holiday:)
It's good that you know that the money is there to pay for the wedding, that's something you don't have to think about now.
Sometimes it's easier just to concentrate on one goal, rather than trying to share the money out to various potsEarly retired - 18th December 2014

I agree. I've found it easier to focus on filling a pot and then leaving it than contributing small bits to other pots....
Mind you am considering raiding the emergency fund just now as I don't have a pot for latest *wish*Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
So glad you enjoyed your holiday.0
