    I've heard that too :(

Nooooo, that's awful ... horrified, it was bad enough thinking they'd been mown down!

I was only in school for two days but they were really slow! I kind of feel like it's the end of term already but I've still got so much to do! Trying (unsuccessfully) not to think about it :o

I think it's the three days which you weren't in school but were responsible 24 /7 for your group of small people that might be behind the sneaking exhaustion. :o IMHO that's exactly what sneaks up on you when the responsibility lifts!

Earlier, I did the unthinkable - I signed up to view my pension online  I have been carefully ignoring all the stuff that comes through the door from time to time, but today I thought I'd give it a go. I learnt two things:
    1. I don't have much of a pension because I have worked part-time for 4 years
    2. I really don't understand my pension :o

I tried reading a few of the FAQs and using the calculators but it didn't help :(

So, on with something that is more at my level of understanding :rotfl: - a 62p TT moved to my ISA, topped up with £1 to meet the minimum transfer limit :rotfl:

I don't get my pension either, tis next plan, after the whole MFW malarkey (although I'm closer to really needing to think about it than yourself, I believe)!

Hope you have a restful evening x

Had an e-mail today to say that they'd tried to call me but I'd given them the wrong number  Stupid touch screen typing

Project 'get fit for summer', also known as 'pre-holiday panic over buying a bikini', is well underway here. We walked 5 miles on Sunday evening, another 3 miles last night and I'm just off to yoga.

    Feeling exhausted :o

    Good evening :hello:

It's sunny here at the moment although there have been a few clouds around today. Tomorrow is looking promising :T

Today has been a NSD and I have transferred about £6 cashback from TCB which will probably go into my ISA when it arrives.

I was quite busy at work today and dashed home earlier than normal simply because I felt like getting home at a more reasonable time! I do feel a bit guilty now though because I forgot to bring my marking home

I'm also feeling a bit smug as I did a workout DVD when I got in, then 45 minutes of yoga from u-tube :A Tomorrow we're hopefully going to dig the bikes out of the shed. I haven't ridden my bike in probably two years

I hope you are all having some nice weather :)

  • May half term is a brilliant time for a wedding. Well done!
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Just as long as we get the date with the registrars :rotfl:

Sorry I've been a bit quiet on here recently, things are really busy at work and lots going on at home too. Father's day is a bit of a difficult one this year as it is the start of the week my dad passed away, but I'm feeling strangely calm about it. Knowing my family are finding it more difficult is tough though.

It's cloudy here today with a bit of sun breaking through but it has been hot and sunny all week :) We had a lovely day yesterday with some of my OH's family visiting. It was nice to have a chance to get to know some more of his many cousins and their children.

A quieter day planned today with a chunk of work to do for school but I'm hoping to get out in the garden for a bit.

Two Hbbb style simple pleasures from yesterday (both wildlife related:))
    • I regularly spot buzzards when I'm driving round here and it is still a treat as they are such amazing birds! Yesterday I saw one swoop down and fly away with some poor furry creature
    • A fox cub ran out in front of our car on the way home last night and ran for quite a waybefore finding a suitable spot to jump the hedge

Going to put some washing in then update the spreadsheets :) Hoping to catch up on some diaries later :)
