If he hasn't worked it out by now, there's no hope at all :o Actually he keeps telling everyone how much we're saving and about our plans to buy a few BTLs and retire early. I need to point out to him that people don't generally get it, as we're getting a few funny looks!

It's lovely to have a few visitors on here

It's been a busy couple of days! Friday night turned out to be a BBQ so only had to buy a few vege sausages. Yesterday we went on a bit of a road trip to do some shopping in Exeter. It obviously cost a bit in petrol and parking but it's worth it as we don't have half of the shops in Cornwall. We have been saving for holiday clothes so all in budget :) Also we found a shop that was closing down with everything half price. It was a bit of a scrum and the line for the till was loooong, but we both got a pair of half price trainers which we would have bought anyway:j

OH went to watch the boxing last night so I took the dog to the beach and walked over 3 miles. I think the dog did about 6 miles in circles on the beach - there is nothing like watching a happy dog splashing in the sea :)

£4.02 interest paid into Fl£xDirect and now transferred to the wedding fund :)

I'd best get a move on as we're going for a long walk and I've got to pack for tomorrow. I'm taking the class on a residential trip, which means no sleep but it should be fun if all goes according to plan

I almost forgot my Habibiboo (spelling?) inspired simple pleasure.

I was a bit upset yesterday by all the dead animals one the roads round here. On one stretch of the dual carriageway I counted 2 baby badgers, one adult badger and a little fox :(

So I was delighted when I saw a sneaky fox creeping around by the estuary while I was walking the dog last night! I could see it from a long way off and thought it must be a large cat from the way it was moving, but when we got closer it hopped up the bank, glared at us then ran away into the bushes. I know foxes are really common in towns but we have only seen one other fox since we have lived here and that was in a completely different area.

I love spotting (live) wildlife :T

Our wildlife pleasure for the weekend was going to the local park, where we spotted a nest full of baby coots in the middle of the boating pond :)

Thanks! All home now - we only go for 3 days thank goodness!

He's already made me two nice cups of tea. A hot, clean shower will be my next luxury :D

Hop you and your students had a good time Janey - do you get an extra day off to recover or is that wishful thinking?
