    Budget update:

Our current account budget was looking very healthy and as most DDs have gone for the month I've added a further £200 to the wedding fund :j This takes us to 17% of the target :T A little more to follow at the end of the month hopefully :D

£6.88 cashback requested from p@yp@l which will go ito my ISA when it arrives.

Nearly £300 spent from renovation fund for fencing which leaves a minus figure in the column in our current account. These savings are tied up in N@tionwide and my regular saver so will have to pay back next month :o

Have been a bit spendy this week, I even had a school dinner on Friday as I was too late to make my own lunch:eek: My personal spends are almost empty now so will have to be very careful for the next two weeks :o

Thanks slowlyfading! I am enjoying making a second transfer to savings midway through the month :)

What a busy day! I'm sorry to all of you who have been complaining it's cold today but it's been really hot here! Quite humid and close but still sunny :)

I managed to get quite a bit of school work done then we spent some time in the garden. After an afternoon of hacking down the old fence and the jungle that is the garden next door, we managed to get in four fence panels. Only seven more to go!

I've really got that Sunday evening feeling - I don't want to go to work tomorrow :(

Lovely to hear about the wedding plans Janey ... May will be lovely!

Love your wildlife, it's funny when we catch them doing their wild little things as we go about our strictly timetabled work days! Yet here we all are, sharing the same space.

Sorry today's a bit grot, both from the FD feeling and the school-tomorrow, I can only say I can empathise with both of those so (hugs) to you and I hope the week ahead is kind to you. x

Sorry you had a bad day too slowlyfading :(

Well, today hasn't been much better. Had a row with OH last night then couldn't sleep for what felt like hours. Hayfever has been so terrible today that my eyes are swollen and my nose is sore from blowing  Work is a bit pants at the moment due to work politics, masses of work to do and certain parents being rude/aggressive etc.

Finally when I got in earlier I rang the 'general inquiries' number at the registration service because I still haven't heard back from them and the lady I spoke to on Friday said they'd call me later that day or Monday. The lady I spoke to today seemed to get a bit annoyed at me :( I was trying to explain why I was calling but she couldn't seem to understand and in the end I could tell she thought I was being difficult. She basically told me the other lady couldn't possibly have said they'd call me that quickly because they're supposed to tell people 7 working days. Their answer message only says 4 days

When I got off the phone I felt so frustrated I burst into tears, and now feel like a muppet :o

Sorry for going on but I feel better now I've written it down!

    Anyway, good things about today:
    • A NSD day - going to yoga later but already paid for
    • Going to yoga later - looking forward to a good stretch :)
    • It's hot and sunny
    • Dog managed to 'kiss' me when I got in - not really a good thing but made me laugh

    Janey x

I hate it when you phone with a perfectly reasonable enquiry, because you haven't heard within the advised time scale, and are then made to feel like an an impatient unreasonable nuisance!

This is what normally happens when I phone the doctor and get the rude receptionist!

    You have my complete sympathy.

Hope you get the reply soon.

Aww, sorry it's all a bit pants Janey (and you too Slowly Fading) ... the holidays really can't come quick enough.

Although not entirely healthy ... (especially if they catch you unawares with something of a Frenchie when you've got your mouth open in the throes of saying "down" in a commanding fashion) ... doggie kisses are always so well intentioned and full of adoration, glad you have that on a grim day m'dear!

Hope your hump day isn't too bumpy tomorrow x
