Hi Hbbb
I've spoken to most of the venues now, will explain in my main post :rotfl:
To do a multi quote you just click the button that has a pink and orange speech bubble next to the 'quote' button. This lets you choose a few posts to quote in one reply!
I'm just catching up on everyone's threads before doing my own update"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Mornin' :hello:
For some reason I felt really fed up yesterday. It could be hormones or the fact that I'm still fighting off my most recent cold
I didn't manage to do any schoolwork. It just wouldn't happen, but instead of continuing to bang my head against a brick wall and get even more annoyed and frustrated, I gave up and got a load of general jobs ticked off my list.- Went to Drs
- Collected some parcels from N£xt - need to return
- Posted the laptop battery which doesn't fit my laptop
- Tried on some stuff I ordered for holiday - needs returning!
- Paid in the cheque from the pet insurance
- Did a load of filing - I try to do this once a month as it builds up so quickly!
- Cleaned the kitchen
- Sorted through all of my clothes - have put out a very full charity bag and extra carrier bag of shoes this morning :T
Wedding
Have managed to get quotes from all but two of the venues on our list now. Two came in at over £5000 and have been crossed off the list! One of those didn't even include food!
I'm really holding out for the farm we visited on Tuesday. The lady was lovely, the photos were amazing and you don't have to hire out all the buildings and accommodation which means we only pay for what we want. I think the quote for what we asked for will be too much but I'm sure we can sit down with her and work out what we can get within our budget. Feeling quite excited now
Jobs for today:- [STRIKE]Update spreadsheets for end of month, new spreadsheets ready for payday tomorrow![/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Schoolwork [/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Get return ready to take to PO[/STRIKE]
- Return stuff to N£xt
- [STRIKE]Clean bedroom[/STRIKE]
- Wash bedding
- [STRIKE]Unload dishwasher[/STRIKE]
- Walk dog - flipping rain - dog hates it and so do it!

Weddings can be so expensive in the UK, and some of the attitudes are baffling! Mrs E's sister got married this year and some of the cheeky moments and add on costs were shocking! :eek:0

I have decided to try doing an end of month update so I can see what we achieve each month.
Balance in joint account: £5379.35
Balance in personal account: -£13.44
Savings
Emergency: +£200 = £2414.5
Holiday: + £1031.31
Renovation: +£0 = £4304
Wedding: +£0
Car: +£80
Presents: +£50
Personal: +£40.33
Total saved: + £1401.64
I have never worked out a monthly total before and can't believe how much we've saved! We've also got over £300 put aside for clothes (we're in desperate need as we don't buy any very often) and I've saved £22 cash towards travel toiletries etc.
Our emergency fund has taken a bit of a hammering this month with vets bills and laptop batteries! Holiday will be filled tomorrow then we can start paying into the wedding and renovation savings again.
Feeling chuffed:D:D

Recording TillyTidies in my joint account spreadsheet was too fiddly and makes it really difficult to spot mistakes which I make occasionally :rotfl: . So I closed my Mr T ISA on Tuesday and have just opened the N@tionwide ISA at 2.5% for my personal savings, which should make things a bit clearer!
Need to remember that can only pay in a minimum of £1 though - will have to increase all TTs by £1 then!

Well done on the monthly savings, that's a very tidy sum.
I must admit, I really like the month end, so I can do my monthly review :rotfl:Early retired - 18th December 2014

It's where we keep our savings pots and money for all monthly bills as it's 3% and easy access. So it's a combination of money for bills, emergency fund, holiday spending money, car savings, presents savings, renovation savings and now wedding savings!"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes.
