Anyone else on a diet and struggling?

I'm not asking them to. TBH I'd just like their company & benevolence.
Instead I'm struggling solo & isolated.
Which may mean I get a healthier body & a very unhealthy relationship with my family.
That my husband knows low carb is smart eating from his diabetes patient self management classes "adds salt"...0 -

Just do it yourself. I'm not strictly low carb, as such, but I don't tend to base my meals around carbs (pasta dish, for example) or add carbs to my meals (potatoes, rice). We just have different meals because we have different needs. Husband is naturally skinny and has a very physical job, so needs carbs. I'm a natural fatty, so really shouldn't be eating too many of them.
I make toast and PB/jam for husband before he goes off to work but eat porridge myself. I eat salad and protein for lunch whereas he'll have sandwiches or last night's tea. For tea I have protein and veg and he'll have something much more carby.
It's really not a faff cooking 2 different meals, especially once you start to see the results.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
I usually cook 2 meals, because my kids eat meat and I don't. Today I did roast chicken for them, and a lentil bake thing for me. They also had stuffing and roast potatoes with theirs, I didn't. We all had a section of vegetables to choose from.
Lots of people in families eat different diets, it isn't that difficult to adapt really.0 -

Why on earth not? So easy, so cheap, and so much nicer than a shop bought one. Seriously, why not?******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
