Tbh I would still take them even if I ate healthy every day as on a calorie deficit there's no way you would get all of the nutrients you need in the correct amounts0 -

If you can't commit to going more than a couple of times a week (and as I said, nothing wrong with that when you have family/kids to spend time on), have a word at the gym and see if they do pay-as-you-go. It might work out cheaper than paying a monthly fee.
Also don't forget that you don't HAVE to join a gym to get exercise. You can walk (fast, uphill), run, swim... all with your kids :-)******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

thanksMy job is quite physical, but not enough for my liking.
I already go on walks, but not often enough because my teen finds it incredibly boring0 -
I'm trying to eat low carb, but have been slightly knocked askew emotionally by the news my husband refuses to join me or permit the lads to. (Three teens or near it.) I am sufficiently worried about how unwell I look & feel to go ahead anyway, but his flat refusal to cooperate ("this one of your internet mates' ideas?", "great we have have a decent strength chilli" etc) means I am effectively isolated from family meals & I am not happy about this.
Maybe he'll change his tune in a month's time when I can point to the improvements.0 -

Or he does; but is too polite to anything.:pIf you can't commit to going more than a couple of times a week (and as I said, nothing wrong with that when you have family/kids to spend time on), have a word at the gym and see if they do pay-as-you-go. At my gym, I only need to go once a week most weeks for it to be cheaper than pay as you go. But I swim some weeks too.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

They do, don't they? My son can barely be bothered to walk to the bloody kitchen when he's home! I swear he only does because there's food there.
My job is very sedentary for the most part. I can spend hours sat on my !!! and very often have to go out on an errand just to get out in the fresh air and stretch my legs. Another day I can be in a school on my feet all day, but I do nothing at work that raises the heart rate, ever. My gym is a 2 min drive away so I sometimes do a mid morning or lunchtime class to break the monotony.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

Jealous! Mine is about a 2 mile walk / 2 buses away. Can't be bothered to wait for the bus; so just walk there.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I low carb but don't make my daughter do it obviously, she's 10 and unbelievably skinny! She only weighs 21kg which isn't much for a 10 year old.
So I make us the same meals and just don't eat the carby bits myself. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

I don't think it's fair to expect your husband and kids to low carb just because you want to!0
