You're clearly ignoring the nutritional value of foods.

As I've said I'm purely calorie counting

    I completely agree.

If you want to loose weight by eating low-calorie rubbish, that's entirely up to you but you should expect some criticism because it's a quick fix solution to a much longer term problem.

But not everything the OP is eating is low cal rubbish. Shes eating fish, fruit and veg.

All of the foodstuffs that people were talking about in the discussion about clean eating.

If she is, so are loads of people. There are diet plans that allow people to fill up on stuff that absolutely has not the best nutrition for the calories. But people on other threads get congratulated because they have amazing weight losses and good for them.

Its about balance. There has to be balance. What happens if someone goes from having monster portions and junk food to a total clean eating diet overnight, it might work for some people, but I bet it wont for many others.

Making changes takes time with I bet a few mistakes along the way.

It doesn't work for me, if it did I wouldn't still be fat

People seem to be looking over the changes I've already made, they've brushed aside the two I've just made (cutting out crisps and energy drink) they seem fixated on pointless thing and aren't looking at the bigger picture, they pick up on the ONE time I've had that pastry

It seems I've not explained myself very well and obviously have a completely different view and attitude to healthy eating than some people in this thread. The foods you mention above such as the packet and tinned pasta products don't even enter my radar because quite simply I would never eat them. Never have done. And I don't mean that in a derogatory way to anyone who does.

My concerns about what people eat goes far beyond the amount of calories they're consuming, especially if their intention is to lose weight. What does concern me is the nutritional value of the food they're eating, especially if they're trying to lose weight. If I can suggest a healthier option then I will. Whether they take that advice on board is their choice. It doesn't bother me one way or the other on here as none are my clients, although it can become a little frustrating when people have such blinkered views and dismiss everything you say out of hand.

Sometimes I fire off a post without thinking too much about the way it might come across, often because I'm busy and in a hurry or distracted by other thoughts and stuff going on, so I'm sorry if I've appeared to be rude at any time. Not my intention.

Its clear you eat clean and that you have a very healthy diet most of the time.

But you also eat treats yourself occasionally. Lots of people do.

Your treat might not be an Iceland pizza. But when people do eat junk on treat days, sometimes they eat absolute rubbish.

Its not that one pizza that's going to cause her diet to go belly up as you and other people know, it would be if she repeated that every night of the week, plus fizzy drinks, plus sweets.

And there are slim people out there who have horrendous diets, but its always people who are overweight whose diets get scrutinised.

Im totally aware that its not healthy to be overweight but as far as many people are concerned if someone is slim they can eat what the hell they like, but if someone is fat they are lazy and greedy (and that has been said in other threads on here just now).

And personally, would I post my diet up on a forum like this? Probably not. Not because I dont want to learn, but when you arent a nutritionist or have a similar career, much of what you eat is hit and miss. I think I have my diet as good as it can be, but I bet I could make tweaks and Ive always needed help on how to tailor my eating to my workouts.

Sometimes people do what they think is right and do what certain slimming clubs promote and that advice as has already been said, wont always be the best.

If I may be so bold, I don't think it is just that, Tink2..

In my view, some of the reactions you have had are, in part, because of the other diet threads you have previously started. In all of them, (apart from the one where, I think, if memory serves me well, you were trying to gain weight), you had great loses at first, maybe similar to what you have here, and each time, this was the best diet and you were going to get to goal weight, doing it the way you wanted.

Now, ultimately, none of those diets worked, because, as you say, you are still overweight.

The problem is, as we all know, many diets simply don't work, and so, whilst you have initial success, it peters out and you're back to square one. You're not unique in this though, millions of people worldwide face the exact issues you do, trying one diet after another, having some success, then losing motivation, maybe gaining more than they have lost, then starting the cycle again.

So, I don't believe it is just brushing aside the changes, but some posters are perhaps basing it on past knowledge of your dieting history.

All I can say is, that I do hope that, this time, you have found a method that works for you, that you can get some support from this thread, in order to move forward with your weight loss.

If losing weight was easy, there would not be an obesity crisis, so use what information you can, that fits in with what you want to achieve and, hopefully, by the end of the year, you will be at your goal.
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.

    Hhhmmmm, I see your point

In the past when Ive tried to lose weight I've always cut everything out and then ended up getting sick and binging on the things I've cut out then it's turned into oh I've ruined today now I my as well eat and then it was like oh well the weeks a right off now I'll start again next week but I wouldn't so it got into oh well the months a right off I'll start next month but again I didn't so then it turned into oh well it's half way through the year so I may as well give up till next year

Then the next year came, rinse and repeat

This time, I'm not cutting anything out (bar crisps and energy drink cause I'm sick of them) I'm having what I fancy and working it into my calories, I'm not letting the day be a right off, if I have a pizza I'm not thinking oh well may as well continue to eat crap, no instead in thinking ok so that was ...... Calories, my next meals will be healthier
