When I run I look like Jonny Depp running along the beach in Pirates of the Caribbean, arms and feet everywhere. Hence me only doing it at the gym, and only as intervals.

    :rotfl:

Had a Phoebe from friends flashback when they run in the park. lol!

I'm not able to make use of my local gym any more. Which is a shame as my company offers a benefit where they pay you £200 towards your annual gym membership. So I am trying to find free alternatives that I enjoy and can fit around my lifestyle.

I am slowly making little changes that will benefit my health for the better. Biggest one was giving up smoking 2 months ago.

So on sw can you have things like crisps, pizza?

Does it have to be a certain type?

    What about greggs/subway sandwiches?

How many years have you been looking for a diet where you can eat crisps/pizza and subway sandwiches?!!! How many of your pizza/crisp eating diets have failed?

Unless you are doing a lot of exercise (which you've said you can't) it's never going to happen. A sedentary person can't loose weight eating pizza/crisps. It's not sustainable for the long haul.

Even if you reduce your calories for the rest of the day, you'll just end up eating next to nothing and being hungry and staying on the wagon becomes that much harder.

How many times have you tried dieting like this only for it to fail?

    I've found no-one actually cares. But I've had a few nice comments.:o

I know that it was my own insecurities and confidence that was holding me back. Finally decided that I was going to take back control of my life.

I run very early so there is hardly any one about it's so peaceful.

This is the problem for many people on the diet. It is very good to begin with, then it gets harder and then it fails. After a short while it is the new miracle diet that the person has found, so they start this, sing the praises but the same thing happens again.

People can do this merry-go-round for years and years, going up and down in weight but never getting anywhere far. It is, I fear, where Tink2 is finding herself, until the next diet comes along.

I am hoping that I am wrong however as it is clear how much Tink2 would like to lose the weight she is carrying and I would like for her to be successful.
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.

    She's never going to succeed.

This is why I hate fad diets like cabbage soup, cambridge, 5:2 etc...
They are just not sustainable long term plus they promote a really unhealthy attitude to food in my opinion.

Quite. You're better off making a lifestyle change rather than some faddy diet.

Tink, I am sure that you could probably do some sort of exercise. At my gym we have morbidly obese people who go, people in wheelchairs, older people, small men who want to bulk up etc.

Honestly, when I see them I am full of admiration for them.
They COULD just sit there and moan that they cant do it, but they don't. They sweat and huff and puff, but they damn well do it to the best of their ability.
