Low carbs don't really work for me, been there done that lol

I find carbs more filling than protein

Lol I do find protein filling but I've gone too low on carbs in the past so I agree with you about being balanced, I tend to load on carbs around a workout so I burn it as energy and carbs are definitely not the enemy, it's just about picking the right ones, which we all mess up on lol most important is never to be hungry....I turn into wolverine when I get too hungry, and no food shelf is safe from my attack ;)

Above your protein and carbs being roughly the same, would you not prefer to lose weight?

Do you not get it? You can't have it all. You can't have what you prefer, be it pizza, crisps, greggs, subway, blah blah blah AND lose weight. You have to make a choice. I think you already have.

Actually I have lost weight eating those things

    It's nota wheelchair suitable place
If it's the Hoppings you mean Tink which I'm guessing it is, trust me it's entirely possible to get a wheelchair round there without too much trouble. I took my Mum a few times when she was paralysed- she enjoyed it.

Which is totally fine, especially if you are making it with whole wheat pasta, most important things to cut out are your refined carbs, pizza, ready meals, burgers, all the stuff with chemicals in as this will make your insulin rise and fall more times than your body knows what to do with, hence the cravings, try baby steps and cut out a couple of things you can live with out for a bet, my first thing was bread and I was thinking how can I live without bread, it was part of my everyday diet, now I don't think about it and I make wraps for work, the interesting thing is , when I eat bread now, I bloat to the point my loose jeans become tight, I would suggest googling gluten and the effect it has and why it is put into our foods, understanding the stuff we eat can help us make the right decisions.....you can always have a big butty during your power hour ;)

Quite. You're better off making a lifestyle change rather than some faddy diet.

Intermittent fasting (5:2 etc) is a lifestyle change.

I do agree that the 5:2 is a lifestyle change for some, on the fb page there's some that's been on it for ages

I'm off take aways, the one last night wasn't that nice, so yeah, should make things easier

Weigh in this morning and have lost 2lbs this week and some inches off all over. Very happy. Didn't have time for my full breakfast this morning so just had scrambled egg and smoked salmon yummy!
That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!
