Its my TOTM and I am craving junk food in large quantities!
Any tips on how to deal with this? I have already had a wagon wheel and bar of dairy milk :(

I treated myself to a new hair cut today, as a reward for staying on track with my eating. I am going to treat myself to something (clothes, make up) every time I lose half a stone. So when I get to 10st 5lbs I will get some new clothes.

Distraction? If you're craving something sweet have fruit?

Good idea about the treats, mine shall be 2 hamsters and a tattoo :D

You 're right, I will get right back on track tomorrow (well already have ). I added up the calories of all those sweet things I ate and it was over 1000, with no nutritional value at all. I will have to do better tomorrow.
What do you mean by 'image' and egg (guessing that's a spelling mistake :)

    Meant spinach and egg :o

I find fruit the best thing when I want something sweet (Clementine or grapes), or some raisins .
Sometimes I find eating a bit of cheese helps ,or a few Brazil nuts. Or drink lots of water ,with ice and lemon to make it seem like a proper drink.

It's mine too! I've been craving sugar all day, so relented and had a diet coke when I got home. It made me feel like I was having a treat as it was so hard to give up yesterday lol.

I would try and eat as healthily as possible throughout the day and save your calories for something in the afternoon/evening when you'll probably crave junk. I'm having some Ben & Jerry's after dinner, been thinking about it all day :p

    Breakfast "cupcakes"...
Dice and fry some bacon. Scramble some eggs in a jug with some chopped chives. Mix in the bacon.

Pour into cupcake cases in a baking tray, and bake on a low heat until solid :)

    HBS x
They sound amazing! And Tink2 the spinch sounds like it would be really good as well :-)
Homemade granola is amazing! Much better than store bought because you can tinker with the flavours :)
Do you have a basic recipe?

Dinner plans changed to a jacket potato, beans, cheese and salad tonight. Taking ages to cook! Distracting myself with Wii fit which seems to be working! It says I've lost 2lbs! :-D

Thanks for the advice re sugar cravings. I have eaten well today, nice and healthy. So I don't think that 1 wagon wheel and 1 bar of choc is too big a deal, I just wont do it again in a hurry.

I also have to remember not to get too disheartened if my scales don't budge this week. Fluid retention is a booger!

Tell me about it ! I never used to lose any weight in that week but I would make up for it the week after. I used to lose most of my weight in the 1st 2 weeks of my cycle, then STS or even gain  the next 2 weeks.

Tink, your idea of distraction has worked well. I have had a coffee and am chilling on the sofa watching HP: Order of The Phoenix.
Also have been browsing the Next catalogue to see what clothes I am going to order WHEN I hit that 10st 5lb mark :)

Well I think I might have finished mine as well, but that's down to my age. I'm really looking forward to being period free but at the same time the menopause does have health implications for women as well. It means I've got to stay in control of my weight and fitness.

Ugh! Periods are the bain of my life!

Keep up with the distractions, I was watching Harry Potter too :)

I finally ate my ice-cream and it was soooooo good! It felt nice to know I was actually having a treat rather than just mindlessly eating junk all day.
