On the plus side I ate crisps today (walkers cheese and onion and walkers prawn cocktail)
So, did you have two packets of crisps today, Tink2? Or did you half and half with your partner?Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.0 -

Also- have you heard of the imposter syndrome? Where we subconsciously stop ourselves from achieving what we really want because we don't truly believe that we deserve it.
Google it if you think it'll help.
Thanks, I'll google itPlateaus are normal even when you are eating healthily and exercising hard. I know you cant exercise at the moment, but sometimes we do hit a plateau. If I got miserable every time my weight had stayed the same over the last 11 months Id have given up.
Thats why you need to think long term.
Yeah I'm definitely thinking long term hence why I'm cutting down and not out0 -
Calorie dense meals in small portions or low calorie meals in large portions.
If you like the feeling of having a lot of food in your stomach, the former have to go. You can't have both calorie dense and large meals.
It's also possible that you eat quickly, so a larger meal gives you time to get the 'I'm full' signals coming through.
I'm now a size 14, having been struggling to get on size 26s last January. And I haven't formally exercised in over nine months since I screwed up my ankle (and even swimming made it worse). However, I walk to work and am up and down all over the site all day. Despite it hurting.
Smaller meals begin to feel like larger ones once you get used to the sensation of not being full to the brim. You eat until you are not hungry, not until you are full.
Once that happens, then you can happily have calorie dense food, because you will know when to stop.
And yes, I will eat crap when I want it. I drink alcohol, too.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

You do also need to look at the sugar content of foods that contain fruit too.
I do like fruit with custard too.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

But I didn't enjoy them at all so will be cutting them out
Perhaps you didn't enjoy them because subconsciously you knew you were sabotaging your weight-loss.
Are you hormonal? I have read that this can really affect some women, so much so, that they will eat piles of stuff that they don't need, or even want.
I do so hope that you are able to re-focus and get back on track again.
I have noticed that, the other day, you sounded much more confident in your dieting efforts than you do today.Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. Heres a suggestion. If you cant stop at one packet on an off day. Stop buying them. At least until you feel you are over the temptation to eat a few packets if they are in front of you.
Unless these were low cal crisps, you are probably looking at almost 700 cals in 4 packets.
If your partner likes them, he can buy them and eat them elsewhere. Dont have temptation in the house and then sit and wonder where it went wrong. Im talking as someone who has issues with savoury food and issues with moderation.0 -
