Oh yes
mse don't want me to write anything that short, so you get more ... :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I think it rained earlier, but it's bright and sunny now, so I'm going to go for a walk now, just in case I don't get the chance later
Last night we put the heating on for a couple of hours, and it's been on this morning too. I'm happy to put on a layer or two, but I don't want to feel uncomfortably cold, and I did feel like that yesterday afternoon. But with a bit of sun, I think it'll be better today.
After my walk, I intend doing the rest of my housework, and will meet my friend for tea after she finishes work this afternoon. She's got another batch of things for me to eBay (I don't know where she keeps finding it!) so I expect I'll start preparing it for listing tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a good day
Edited to add - Hbbb, I tried to re-register for the RM surveys. This time I got the message that they aren't currently recruiting from my postcode! I'll have another try in the new year.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Yesterday turned out much better than expected weather-wise, so in addition to the planned housework, I also managed to get two loads of washing out on to the line, which I've ironed this morning
£3 has turned up in my bank account for the Green Met book I sold recently, so that's been transferred to the LXF
I met my friend last night and had a good natter. As planned, she passed over another batch of stuff for me to eBay. I had a count up, and there was about 45 items, mostly shoes, clothes and handbags. I continue to be amazed at how much stuff she has!
This batch take me a while to sell. I usually stop selling in December, so I've got enough (probably more than enough) to keep me busy until then
This afternoon I'll make a start on the photography and listing. A free listing weekend would be very handy
I'll also try and get some surveys done if there's any available. It's so wet and rainy today, I'm not even considering a walk.Early retired - 18th December 2014

It may yet clear up Goldie. It has hereMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
That *is* a lot! I hope she's enjoying the space!
And same here as at Watty's - it looked like evening at about 8.30, and now it looks like the sun's trying to come out2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
It did turn out to be a nice afternoon after all, but I didn't get out for a walk, due to some weirdness happening here!
I was on the laptop, typing out a few eBay descriptions and doing some surveys , when I heard a ding/clang noise. It seemed loud, but I thought it might be the man next door dropping a spanner on his drive, as his hobby is working on his classic cars.
Didn't think anything of it, but then I heard the same noise 20 minutes later. I looked out of the window (a front bedroom) but couldn't see anything going on, so thought it was odd.
Then I heard it again and looked out the window. Then I realised, the burglar alarm box is right by the window, and the alarm bell was giving random dings!
So I phoned the alarm company, and was running around doing various tests for them. They seemed a bit flummoxed.
So they are coming round tomorrow to have a look at it.
The bell has given a few more random dings, but it has quietened down now, only one in the last hour
Of course, tomorrow is a working day. But I've been coughing my head off today, so I'm going to use that to justify a day off sick tomorrow. I feel a bit guilty, as up until the last couple of months I've rarely had any days off sick, but I don't want the alarm bell annoying the neighbours!
So with all that, I never got the chance for a walk.
With any luck, the alarm people will get here early, I'll stop coughing, and be able to get a good walk done tomorrow!Early retired - 18th December 2014

It's actually worked out for the best that I haven't gone in to work, as I'm still coughing away, and would have probably not gone in anyway.
So I'm just going to wait for the alarm man to turn up. The alarm is at the front of the house and we mainly live and sleep at the back, so it's difficult to know if it's stopped making random dings.
As I'm not going anywhere today, this will be a NSD.
If I feel like it, I might take some more eBay photos, but otherwise, I'll rest up.Early retired - 18th December 2014
