I loved BB (knew I shouldn't root for Walt but still did).
We really enjoyed GOT and just read all the books too.0 -
I'll go up to £5 for a box set
GOT was a bit more than £5:osmallholdingsister wrote: »I loved BB (knew I shouldn't root for Walt but still did).

Walt did some truly terrible things.... but (most of the time) I was still on his side - it's really odd to root for such an anti-hero.
We've only read the first of the GOT books. They always seem a bit expensive in the Kindle store, so hopefully there'll be a deal on them one day, so we can read moreEarly retired - 18th December 2014

I am such a saddo. Never seen BB or GOT but I have the complete box sets of Friends and Lewis. Trendy? Non.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
I set the £5 limit because otherwise I'd buy everything I wanted, at any price
I find DVDs as addictive as books, and I don't have the space and I don't want to use the money that way
Squirrel - I love Lewis, I can rewatch them constantly if I need to be in comfort mode2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Love Lewis...and Morose.0

Just wanted to say I'm a box set nut. It's the only reason I've got Sky at the moment (although I've just cancelled it and am going to switch to NowTV when it runs out). GOT is the best series I've ever seen. I was hooked from the first episode! It's taking some serious will power to force myself to wait for it to come out in the box sets and not just buy it0

We saw the first episode of GOT last night. I'd seen it before on Sky, but I had forgotten just how good it is.
I never got into Lewis of Morse when they were on TV..... but maybe that's some thing else to consider later. Not to mention Buffy or Babylon 5
I feel an addiction coming on!:o
I made some mince pies earlier and will probably do another batch next week. Apart from that, my Christmas is essentially pre-prepared. I've never felt the urge to make Christmas cake or puddings
I'm going out a bit later to meet my friend for coffee and sandwich. We're meeting at the local shopping centre. It's never that busy in the late afternoon/evening, so we'll walk round the Christmas shops in quite a relaxed wayEarly retired - 18th December 2014

It's an auspicious day today - the one year anniversary of our retirement.
I can't believe how quickly it's gone. We've no regrets at all, it's been great and we've never been bored
We thought we should mark the occasion. We originally thought of walking up to the Harvester for lunch, but thought it'd be a bit busy this near Christmas.
So we walked to the shopping centre instead for coffee and an indulgent cake. It is so mild at the moment that we were able to sit outside the caf!. Who could believe you could do that a week before Christmas. It was lovely, watching everyone else running around with bags of shopping, while we relaxed!Early retired - 18th December 2014
