They are supposed to be making the information available, as to who actually gave the low stars.
But I don't think this has started yet.
I think it'll be helpful to know who left the low stars, so you can try to work out why the buyers felt badly about the transaction.
But I think come August, it'll be carnage on eBay, with lots of people getting restricted.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Phew, I managed to get all the remaining postcards listed on eBay, already I have a few watchers, so hopefully these will be postcards people want to buy. Generally cards from smaller towns and villages do well, and there are quite a few like that listed.
Tomorrow will start re-listing the postcards that didn't sell last time
I did my supermarket order. I always used to have my shopping delivered Monday evening.
But now I wait until I have an order over £100, to get free delivery. That meant I had to have delivery Tues to Thurs.
They've changed the free delivery time to Monday afternoon - Thursday afternoon, so I have gone back to Monday delivery. Monday works much better for me
Unfortunately I had another tinnitus episode. This is the third Sunday lunch time on the trot ( not including last week as we were away) that I've had noisy tinnitus. I have a bit of ice cream with my dessert, and the tinnitus has started immediately after! So ice cream is off the menu now, for me at least. It's not the only times I've had tinnitus, but it could be that the cold affected my ear? After about 90 mins it went back to a low hiss, which is what it is like most of the time these days
I was told to do three weeks of steam inhalation, and I'm only just into the second week of this. My ear doesn't feel as blocked, but I still have these bouts of tinnitus and I think I'm still a bit deaf in my right ear.
I will carry on as instructed, but I will go back after the three weeks are up, if I'm still having these problems, and ask for a ENT referral.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Hope your ear is feeling better soon!
Good news on the free delivery, mad you have to spend three figures to qualify for it now though!0 -
Today has been a frenzy of housework / washing / and ironing ( to do this evening). I thought I'd get everything done, as tomorrow is earmarked for my batch cooking day. I kind of enjoy the batch cooking, but hate the tidying up / washing up afterwards.
Our grocery shop has been delivered - it's much better to have it delivered at a time Mr Goldie is home, so he can help me put things away!
Not much sold on eBay this weekend, but only had a few items ending, as we were away the previous weekend. One of the things that were sold were three watches, which belonged to my mum, my dad and my MIL. They were nice makes, but no longer worked - I've been wondering for ages whether to sell or not, but as they were just tucked away in a drawer, decided that I didn't really need them. I got £27.50 for them, which I was pleased with, and a watch refurbisher has bought them. It also pleased me that the watches will be mended, and eventually someone will wear and enjoy them.
I've had quite a good run of things selling for more than I thought, so I've put the money to one side (£175 in total), and will use the money for clothes. I need a lightweight shower proof jacket and Mr Goldie needs a slightly more heavyweight shower proof jacket.
We are having chips, baked beans and fishcakes for dinner - I call it an orange dinner, as everything on the plate is orange/yellow. Not wildly healthy, but it tastes nice!Early retired - 18th December 2014

I have to admit I'm feeling a bit low today.
I was happily dozing in bed this morning at 7.30am, when all of a sudden it was if someone turned the volume up in my ear, and the tinnitus was really bad again. It wasn't until after lunch when it began to improve, and it's now back to a low level again.
I'm only half way through all this steam inhalation that I was told to do, and I'm beginning to feel that it's not the answer. I decided to phone the surgery, to make an appointment, as I want to move on and find out if there's any reason for all this, only to be told I have to call at 8.30am to make an appointment.
As the noise has died down again, I've decided to wait until the beginning of next week, and will make an appointment then. It will be into the third week of steam inhalation, and I want to demonstrate that I have given it a good go.
I realise that maybe it's something I might have to live with, but would like to know if there is any cause and also to get help with managing it.
However, I did carry on with my day as I'd planned, and did a big batch cook. I did a cottage pie for 2 meals, a chilli con carne for 4 meals and a Bolognese sauce for two meals. I've realised that I dislike this way of batch cooking. It takes up too much time, and too much washing up.
I think next time I'll stick to doing one thing at a time, but do a 4 meal portion each time.
Something else I was thinking about - I've been tracing my family tree, and I'm a member of Ancestry. I've been able to get a get a lot of information from Ancestry. It's a real buzz when you find someone new on your tree. My mum's side is mainly as I had thought, deep roots in Essex and the East End, mainly farmer or agricultural labourers, with an East End cattle dealer thrown in. My dad is originally from Berkshire. I've traced his line back to the 1650's. They were in Berkshire from the 1730's, and before that in Wiltshire. They had lots of different professions, and at one time, had money! Sadly the money didn't go down my branch of the tree!
It costs around £112 each year to be a member of Ancestry. I renewed in October, and have done very little work since then. After a few years, it's more difficult to find new info.
I've decided that between now and October, I'm going to do some work on Mr Goldie's family, to try an use my membership, but may not renew in October this year.
It'll be something to keep me busy, and take my mind off other things.
Sorry to be a bit negative in this post. When I started this diary, it was on a positive note for the future, I didn't plan on having ear problems.
But as it's a diary, I want to record everything - all part of life's rich tapestry and all that!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Hi Goldie
Sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well. I hope that your doctors can get to the bottom of it, and find a cure.
Well done for pressing on and doing all that batch cooking, you are marvellous! I might have a go one day, maybe when I have to work less.
Anyway, hope you feel better soon"Carpe Diem"

I'm currently reading a book, written by somebody I know via the Internet. It's about how he copes with a debilitating illness. Something much worse than what I have had recently.
It's helped me gain a bit of perspective this evening.
Each time I have a noisy turn, I think it's going to be the last one and things will miraculously improve. I'm now going to try to work on acceptance, and try and learn how to cope.
But I hope I can get help from the doctor too. I don't find medical matters easy. Generally I don't do illness at all, so this is all rather alien to me.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Best wishes from me too. I've heard that low-level background noise (like a radio playing) can help when you're having a tinnitus episode, don't know if it's true. Hope you get the ENT referral sooner rather than later.'A watched potato will never chit'...0
