The Big Adventure

This morning, I did some washing and ironing.
Had pizza for lunch. Since getting our breadmaker, pizza has become a Saturday favourite, so easy to make the dough in the breadmaker. I've currently got dough on the go for French sticks for tea.
Mr Goldie was busy with the steam cleaner. We had thought long and hard about whether to get one, and we took the plunge last month. It's proved to be a success, and Mr G is on a mission to clean just about everything.
I'm just about to launch myself on my mission. Project eBay !
I've got 100 free listings this weekend, and 100 free 99p's to use by 13th May.
I'm going to use as many as possible. I've got a few new things prepared, postcards from my collection prepared, re-listings, and a few more postcards to prep for listing.
So this is my last big eBay push. After 13th May, things will be put in lots / charity shopped. I will still sell on eBay, but not as much as I've been doing. I'm just grateful that most of my de-cluttering has been done. What with the withdrawal of the 99p listings, increase in fees and the new seller standards coming in August, my eBay love affair is over!Early retired - 18th December 2014

From August, sellers are going to have a 'defect rate'. If you get 8 defects, you will be classed as below standard.
You get defects for
Low DSR ratings for item not as described - that's 1, 2 or 3 star ratings
Opened cases for item not as described
Returns for item not as described
Low DSR for shipping time - that's 1 star rating
Opened cases for item not received
Negative or neutral feedback
Cancelled transactions due to out of stock or sold to someone else
I've already got a defect for a not received item. Someone opened a case three days after I posted, and it wasreceived by them the next day. But that is still a defect against me.
I've also got a defect for slow shipping time - and I post next day at the very latest.
It all seems too much aggro now. I have enjoyed my eBaying, it's been a hobby. I will have a few bits to sell, but I won't be doing it for fun anymore!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Does this count only for transactions after August?
I tend to agree with you.0 -
It must be so exciting to see the end in sight. Also (according to 'Your Money Or Your Life', you will now become a motivated work dervish and everyone will think you're fantastic for a year
Enjoy your weekend.0 -

It starts in August, and they look back over the previous year.
So things that weren't counted against you under the previous system, like satisfactorily closed item not received cases, 3 stars for description, and neutral feedback, suddenly, over night, will be black marks against you!
Talk about moving the goalposts!Early retired - 18th December 2014
