I am guessing she is probably sat their thinking why should I pay for a full ticket because I am doing the nice thing by offering to take them.

Agreed but that was her choice, last year she offered, she knew what was going to happen, her choice was to take them, no one forced her, she offered:D

Yes very true - I do think it's incredibility cheeky to ask but I wouldn't fall out with her over it because of the above....maybe you will get someone elses opinion soon were spamming your thread. :rotfl:

Should I have offered to pay for the ticket? I just don't know, so paying half am I paying for her time? For saying she would be the accompanying adult? I don't know, in my mind I would not have asked the accompanying adult to pay, I just don't understand it:o

I don't think you should of offered no - but just going over what she might be thinking to of asked you to pay half. (I think to much)

Or worse still - perhaps she wanted you to buy her ticket because she thought you should offer to pay for it as a thank you and was miffed when you didn't so asked for half.

Everyone thinks differently... I am not saying you should of done these things.

No chance of it escalating, honestly, just hand on heart curious for other people's opinions as to why I pay half? I will pay it, the kis will go and have a fantastic day out, just miffed a bit :D

perhaps she doesnt have money at the moment to cover the full charge or is really low on funds that she will feel the strain on her purse if she pays all of it. To her she is the "accompanying adult" who HAS to be there in order for your kids to go and there and have fun. kinda like a half my child, half your child.

Just pay it, then next time you take them to the cinema etc ask for half of your ticket price...say "well I thought that's what we were doing now..."

She knew this, she offered this, my child is going because she said this, I know I can be ridiculous but was thinking I would go then at least I would be paying for something I'm actually going to :rotfl:

I'm being billed half for nought:D
