I think a lot of people might jump on the band wagon here and say that she shouldn't ask but I'm thinking these boys wanted to go somewhere but need an adult so she said she would go as one of you HAD to go - but not something she would enjoy with them as such?

Not exactly the same as her inviting your son somewhere - but a joint agreement that they both wanted to go and one of you had to be the one to go with them?

Is that the situation or am I taking it wrong?

I am really having a dense moment about this one :D I think so, both kids under 16 need adult entrance, last year friends mum said she would take them, each to pay their own, so adult ticket required, always going to be the case, discussed last year, now I pay half?

I think it's one of those things where you should pay to not cause arguments - I can see both sides reasoning that she is only going to be the adult and hasn't said 'Oh I want to take XX and XX out for the day' but more the kids have said we really want to go and she has opted to so is expecting all costs to be halved between yourselves... but yes I personally would of just paid for myself as it's a bit cheeky to ask for half of their own ticket esp if you do things for each other regularly.

    - And worse not to say anything until you have brought the tickets..

Maybe that was always going to be the case in her head because why did she not buy the ticket knowing she would need one as the accompanying adult ( she told me no internet access but that was then but not as in permanently) so I put it on my card why ?

Oh yes pick your battles I say:D the kids are the main thing and they are beyond excited to be going and I'm very happy for their excitement just fail to see why I'm paying half .

I am guessing she is probably sat their thinking why should I pay for a full ticket because I am doing the nice thing by offering to take them.

    :rotfl:

Or worse still - perhaps she wanted you to buy her ticket because she thought you should offer to pay for it as a thank you and was miffed when you didn't so asked for half.

Everyone thinks differently... I am not saying you should of done these things.

I honestly hand on heart have no clue, I should have said ' oh yes that's lovely you book your ticket when you get in' or words to that effect, or why involve me my job was to get the kids ones online the second they came out, I did my job, the kids are very happy, that's all that counts, just curious as to if anyone else would ask the accompanying adult to half?
