I'm particularly pale, and have found the only foundation that doesn't look too dark or yellow on me is Bobbi Brown. I used to use the skin foundation but they discontinued the alabaster shade, so now I use the moisturising foundation. Slightly thicker foundation that I'm now applying with an angled sponge and setting with Bobbi Brown white powder. I also use her BB cream which is gorgeous but running out!

One uu from me: champneys energising lime hydrating body gel 50ml, from this christmas's sales. Nice enough especially before hurrying to get ready for work, although used after original source mint shower gel I must be going to work smelling like a (virgin) mojito!!!

Champneys pure relaxation aromatic bath essence WBA, it smelt gorgeous like being in a spa. softened and bubbled the water.

nillionaire - I love the Naked Basics palette too, so easy to use for an everyday look.

Nothing is running out. I have an eyeshadow on the go, it hit pan ages ago and just has the edges left, I am using it everyday and as eyeliner too but it never gets any less.

Since my hair decided to be curly it has been really dry so last night I cracked open my Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Balm. This is a thick wax which melts into an oil, I applied it to dry hair then blasted it quickly with the hairdryer and left on overnight, it has really made a difference.

Does anyone worry about the amount of layers of things you apply, to my hair I wash, condition, frizz ease, spray on leave in conditioner, argan oil, serum, styling products. To my skin in the morning, face wash, eye cream, Lancome Dreamtone, moisturiser, SPF, foundation. I skip primer when using a separate SPF as I just can't face the extra layer.

I am quite happy with Aldi roll ons. They are mildly scented and they don't stain my clothes. I don't sweat a lot, even when I'm at the gym so it suits me fine. Plus I find so many branded deos have such strong scents and if you wear perfume everyday, you have to be careful you find one that doesn't clash. Plus it might just be me, I like smelling perfume or aftershave on people, but really don't like smelling their overpowering deodorant.

Do they sell a cream deo at Aldi? Might help my girls spending less if they do...

I could never get a perfect colour match from L'Oreal, but then I use the powder true match, Maybelline 220 is my best match for the winter but the L'Oreal is too dark for the winter months.

Never used the powder version so can't comment but I do find the liquid foundation great :) particularly in the bigger boots there's tons of shades :)

I hear Games of Thrones is on at 2am on Sky. Anyone staying up to watch it? Luckily I start work on a backshift tomorrow so can:D

No though we have Sky Plussed it. I'm starting to get a bit bored of it especially after the last season but no doubt we will watch it when we have worked our way through other series on the box. I think we have nearly finished True Detective. Anyone else been watching this. Have wanted to keep watching it as the two actors are fab but it only now seems to have got going.
One UU to report: Lush bar scrub 150ml

I'm 99% sure this is a Buffy the Backside Slayer bar, but I've had it so long all the writing had disappeared on the label. This has to be more than five years old, as I think I remember it being on the shelf in my flat 3 moves ago

I seem to remember loving Buffy, but this left a thick layers on gunk on my skin even after washing it off repeatedly. I've been using a home made salt brush with epsom and dead sea salts and a home made oil blend using fractionated coconut oil, grape seed oil, cedar wood, sweet orange and something else (I made it a couple of weeks ago). and have found this far more effective without the gunky layer.

I've never tried Buffy but I do love Lush Porridge Soap. Makes my skin really silky.

For your hair, try and use sulfate free products, removes the build up. I swear by them.

Recorded it at 2am but watched it last night! Nice to have my GoT fix back! :D

No UUs here, slow month so far for me.

I'm 30 this week (sob) so will be taking myself off for some well needed relaxation.

TBH I had BadGal Blue and I liked it, but it's the only Benefit product I have had and liked, I was impressed that the blue was visible even on my dark lashes.

I love the plum coloured BadGal. I think I've tried They're Real and think I ended up donating it to Emma. Can't remember not liking the product, it was probably the size of the brush that I didn't get on with.

My fave mascara is still Clinique Lash Power as I prefer a smaller, thinner brush. The YSL Babydoll that I bought on my birthday has a great brush but no better than the Clinique one so a bit of a waste of money. I also have a Smashbox Full Exposure one on the go and I really like this. May look and see if they sell a mascara with a smaller brush when I need to replace it.

Ladies- consensus of opinion please. Free cosmetics on magazines can't count as buying surely? After all I'm only paying for the magazine not the cosmetics surely...

But are you buying the magazine itself and the freebie is a GWP or are you buying for the freebie? I never read magazines and if it's a good freebie I do buy/hoard/stash more than one. I'll leave your conscience to decide. :rotfl:
