Can i ask you ladies a question?
I have recently started using a facial toner, cant remember ever using one before, and must admit i have noticed an improvement in my skin.
But it got me thinking, if its so important to use a toner between cleansing and moisturising on our face, why do we not do it on our bodies too?
We shower/bath using shower gel/soap/scrubs etc then moisturise after, no toner inbetween.Errrr...come back later0 -
1 UU tonight - finally got rid of a handcream!!
Vaseline essential moisture lotion with oat extract - WBA but lots of handcream to use up yet! Got rid of the last of this by using it as a foot cream overnight.New graduate trying to get debt-free.

fly in visit today to report a few UUs. I cheated today and took samples to the gym
I got these free from some sort of healthy living marketing thing, I don't really remember
Dr Bronners Magic All One Pure Castille Soap sample. It was soap, WNB
Faith in Nature Seaweed Enriching shampoo and conditioner samples. didn't really like and the smell was strange, but for anyone looking for this type of thing, its paraben and SLES free, and fully biodegradable WNB0 -

I notice a huge difference too, I remember someone on QVC saying something along those lines too.
I think it's because toner gets all the last dregs off make-up off and prepares your skin for moisturiser, we don't need it on our bodies as they are generally under clothes and/or don't have make-up on. Personally I tone face, neck and decollete but that's a personal preference. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I think they are less sticky than roll-ons and better for the environment than sprays? supposedly they also don't leave stains on clothes but as I'm washing those I'm not so sure about thatFirst they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -

I use a toner not for cleansing but for toningin the morning between washing my face and moisturiser. I use a homemade 50/50 mix of witch hazel to water, one bottle lasts years and I think it has done my skin a lot of good.

Probably a toner would make our body skin look good too. But we look after our faces better. There was something about why we use it on the wonderful Caroline Hirons blog but I can remember why it is- something to do with PH Balence of skin?0 -

I haven't seen one, but Aldi often have toiletry items on Specialbuys, it is possible that one would appear sometime. I used mine this morning and it was fine.
In a spirit of experimentation, I tried the reverse wash method this morning, conditioner first. Hair was squeaky clean and appears generally as soft as with the usual method, but not any different.
However, we've probably all picked up conditioner to use as shampoo given that the bottles are often damn near identical, so it's good to know that should you accidentally pour some out before shampooing it can be used with no problems.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I have a uu
Balance Me Face Moisturiser Normal/Combination - 20ml, I liked this and would use again.
I've never tried a Marc Jacobs fragrance but I am currently using Yardley English Daisy and it is lovely, I have the perfume, body spray, shower gel and body lotion and they are all really nice, the body lotion is particularly lovely to use.
