Club Lloyds Account Direct Debit Question
Comments
-
If a DD shows on your statement as 'next month' it counts as 'next month'0
-
If it happens at the end of every month, then last month's DD may have appeared on this month's statement, helping to satisfy this month's requirement.0
-
If a direct debit is called for towards the end of a calendar month but does not show up on a statement until the next month does this count as a direct debit being taken in the month just ending or in the new month for the purposes of satisfying the 'two direct debits per month' rule?
TIA.
Hi Chadsman.
The Direct Debit would count towards whichever month it debits your account.
Thanks

For a joint account, if there are two National Insurance direct debits on the account (each one for a different person), would they count as 2 different direct debits?0

Hi tharsos,
Yes, from what you've said, that'll count as two different Direct Debits. They can be to the same recipient, however, they must appear as two separate Direct Debit mandates on your account.
Hope this helps,

We're getting ready to convert our 5 Vantage accounts to 3 Club Lloyds and I'm wondering how best to do this. My wife and I each have two Vantage accounts in our own names and we have one joint Vantage account. I understand that we can only have one CL account each plus our joint CL account, hence the drop from 5 to 3 in total.
So, how best to do this? I reckon I should log on now and set up the £1500 standing orders to begin as from 1st July. Then we wait until 1st July and log on to each of the three accounts in turn and click on the "Join Club Lloyds" button. So I'm expecting this button to work a bit like an upgrade button.
Then I close the two remaining Vantage accounts.
I'm hoping we can then select 3 different goodies - one for each account.
Is there anything going to bite me in the bottom with that plan - like you can only join CL once and it affects all accounts, for example?
Thanks for any info/experience you have on the process.0 -

Hi Mr Deep-Pockets,
You won't be able to convert from Vantage to Club Lloyds online. You'll need to call us or visit a branch to have Vantage removed and Club Lloyds added. If calling, you can speak with our team on either 01733 347 007 or 0845 3000 000 (lines are open 24 hours a day).
On the account benefits, they're per account as opposed to per customer. If you hold two Club Lloyds accounts (one sole & one joint), you can select two different benefits.
Hope this helps,

Hi again tharsos,
Yes, you can do that. The credit of £1,500 to activate the fee waiver can be any credit payments made to the account. That includes salaries, benefits, cash, Faster Payments or standing orders
Thanks,
