Club Lloyds Account Direct Debit Question
Comments
-
Any guess if the repayment of the Duo Avois credit card would qualify as valid direct debit for Club Lloyds? When it comes to frequency it says "Not Known", but my other direct direct (for paying NI) is simply marked as "Monthly".
How many times has it been paid? If it's only once then they can't guess the frequency. Either way, as long as it pays out monthly it's a valid DD.0 -
I have two direct debits set up:
-To repay my Duo Avios card at the end of the month.
-To pay NI contributions monthly

Hi tharsos,
Yes, as Gromitt says, as long the Direct Debit is paid once per calendar month (and another DD as well), it'll fulfil the criteria.
Hope this helps,

I guess I'll pay off my AMEX and Mastercard each month with direct debits from Club Lloyds and top up the difference from another account so it remains at £5k. Will setup a standing order to transfer £1500 each month as well. Sounds OK?
I don't see the 'Set up a Standing Order' option when I'm logged into Lloyds Club online account. Any idea why not? I have no money in account yet and it's just been opened.0 -

There is no 'Make a Payment' screen. I think it's because I have no funds but not sure..
Hi HardSpend,
If you've just opened an account with us and registered for Internet Banking, you may not have full access to it yet online. That means payment options won't be available to you. If that's the case, you'll be sent an activation code along with a welcome letter within the next few days. Once you've received that code, you can enter it after logging on. You'll then be able to set up the standing order.
If you've any queries on your registration or access to Internet Banking, one of my colleagues at our helpdesk will be able to look into it for you in detail. They're available on 01733 232 030 and 0845 3000 116. Lines are open 7am-10pm Monday-Friday and 8am-6pm on weekends.
With regard to setting up the standing order after full access is gained, you can find a demo on doing that here. Just click 'Making payments online' and then 'Direct Debits & Standing Orders'.
Hope this helps,

When will the direct debits appear on my account?
Once a payment has been made? I contacted AMEX to give them my new details yesterday and they confirmed they have updated so wondering when I will see it appear as a direct debit on my Club Lloyds account.0 -

New Direct Debits may or may not appear before the first payment is taken (this is dependent on the company you're paying). Even if it's not showing at the moment, as long as you've contacted the relevant company and they've confirmed they're setting up the payment with a date for it, the Direct Debit should leave your account as normal.
Thanks,

If a direct debit is called for towards the end of a calendar month but does not show up on a statement until the next month does this count as a direct debit being taken in the month just ending or in the new month for the purposes of satisfying the 'two direct debits per month' rule?
