Well done Fmess, on the credit card and the 10k!

SFD number 2 today, slept in this morning and had no intention of leaving the house at all. Managed (lycra'd) exercise session number 4 today, completed week 1 of Ripped in 30 and actually looking forward to week 2!

Decluttering is going well - threw out a stick blender that made an awful burning smell every time I used it, and a set of fairy lights that don't work. That plus ebay stuff means 7 items out of the house this month so far. Might have to off-set that against what comes in though, used my JL voucher to order myself a shiny new coffee pot - I miss going to Costa etc and instant is just not doing it for me.

Overspent slightly on the gifts and treats budgets, but am sorted now for birthdays til June and the other budgets are looking ok.

Well done Fmess! :j

No SFD today, small spends though - just church collection & tea donation, bought milk and reduced hot cross buns (not great for the healthy eating but so delicious) and that was it. :money:

Checking in 5/25, didn't hit the gym (didn't want to get the car out :rotfl:) but went for a jog, did shred for the first time in years (I'd forgotten how hard that is) and some yoga so I think I made up for it! :p

Also well done Abundant for tackling your blip, they can creep up on us all!

So I have sold my cowboy boots - £49.34 is in my Paypal account for them with postage via Hermes for £6.28 which is not too bad considering my local shop is a collection/send point. Thanks girlies... so I need another £350.66 to find this month and I will be happy.

Well done on your run fmess. Don't understand running (I can normally walk very fast) but DS1 once described me as looking like a pregnant penguin when I attempted to run.

Confession time - I have spent £4.51 on bad things (chocolate, diet coke, d0rit0s). I was intending to go to the SM (had a voucher) but after waiting at the bus stop for over ten minutes my leg was starting to ache and i thought the money would be better spent at the corner shop (could have spent same amount if I had a taxi back from the SM).

I seem to be getting the munchies quite often in the last few days, worrying a bit considering my activity level is way down and haven't been able to get to exercise class for four weeks (can't even manage the 15 minute walk to class). Must go to doctor's and ask for advice on how to proceed.

Good news yesterday. Gave up tv at the beginning of March and yesterday got a cheque for £48.54 refund on the license. Also enjoyed watching all the little vespas (local charity event, Ginger's Easter run - they take Easter eggs to Manchester children's Hospital). Ginger (the organiser) tried to retire a couple of years ago but after a year off, it's now bigger than ever - they must come from all over to join in.

Tried to get DS3 to watch but not interested. Stopped myself from saying but you used to love it. Have definitely lived with small boys for too long (and big boys even more). I never know whether to be pleased or ashamed that I can still tell the Pickering to Grosmont from Embsay to Bolton Abbey (both steam train lines, much featured on sixties dramas). At least I've broken myself of the habit of holding both hands out and shouting "Hold hands.hold hands" when approaching the kerb of a busy road - so embarrassing when you are with grown-ups.

Seem to be in a very strange mood this month, really starting to notice all the things that still need doing + there are loads of garden jobs that need attention (potatoes and onions I planted 4 weeks ago are sprouting, but there is a lot more and some of my seedlings need moving to next size pots), I have a couple of things on my mind but am trying not to get worked up about them and on the subject of long term goals, the book I am using (3 year diary I found whilst de-cluttering) for most of my challenges (monthly and for the year) has a list in the front of 40 Things I Want To Do. Not sure when it was written - between 3 and 5 years ago. Lots to think about, though.

Hi all

Saturday was a spendy day as it was my 'big' shop day, but in the evening we all snuggled up on the sofa, watching frozen eating homemade chicken parkora, mushroom pakora and onion bhaji's (boys had chicken pakora and smiley faces :p). DH and I had some homemade wine so a very MSE evening lol

Sunday was a chill day and NSD. Today taking DS1 to the pictures and then MacD's. Pictures are cheap as it's the hols and Cineworld are doing good deals both of us going for £3 and then we are going to Macd's with some free vouchers I won in a raffle - cheap days are us yeh!! Technically a SFD as I bought the tickets online on Saturday when doing my other spends.
• Had a very spend weekend as my car ended up needing lots of things done to it (it's never good when 3 mechanics are gathered round it looking quizzical!). However, it's now passed it's MOT which is brilliant, I didn't have to take anything out of what I've paid out of the overdraft and I'm hoping for some more spend free days this week. On leave from friday until after Easter to revise for my exams, so here's a check in so far:

1. Have 15 no spend days. 1/15 so far, hoping for better things once I'm on leave.
2. Up to payday (15th): spend as little as possible, use up the food in freezer/ cupboards before buying more, and no buying junk food. Getting there! 7 days to go!
3. Avoid nice coffee/ tuck shop/ travelling food van at work. I take lunch in everyday, I do not need to buy more food. Managed so far!
4. Reduce electricity use now the lighter nights are here. Doing well here!
3. After payday: continue to use YNAB. Set budget of £150 for food and stick to it. In the red in a couple of categories but have every transaction logged.
4. Leave the office for at least 30 minutes every lunch time and take a walk. Failed dismally here - weather has been awful.
5. Revise for exams at least a little bit everyday. Not yet!
6. Make another payment towards overdraft.
7. Overpay overdraft to get it under £1,000 (about £70 overpayment, depending on April interest) These two are both after payday
8. Stop procrastinating and write this damn essay before I go insane. DONE!
9. (this is more a hope to the universe) Car to pass MOT without needing to take out of what I've paid off the overdraft. DONE!
Proud to be debt free September 2014. :j

Well done Fmess on your run and your CC.

Today will be a spend day as the grocery shop is being delivered. I did find time to go to Tesco and use the £10 off a £30 spend voucher, £10 off such a low spend was too much to waste, I used the scan and shop device and spent £24.11 after the voucher, Sainsburys are delivering another £49.95 tonight so that is a weeks shop and quite a few bits put aside for our upcoming holiday.

DD is going on her first residential with school on Wednesday and I need to call at Argos and collect a disposable camera for her, it was £4.99 for a fujifilm one and this was the cheapest I could find to just walk in and buy, online was cheaper but have left it too late for that.
