thanks for this ffffffff, Am looking into it but hoping an offer will come up like last year when Boots did 50% off although I know that pru do over 30% discount when you set up.

Really do like the idea of going to the gym,

  • Hello guys. I've had a reasonable good look through this thread, went today to my LA Fintess (across the road from work :) ) for a look round. I have a few questions about this scheme:
    • Have the problems with tracking visits been sorted?
    • Is there is restriction on the number of times you can go in a month (looks like it might be 15?)
    • Can you register as a member with the gym first (get the welcome pack etc) and then switch to PruHealth scheme? What are the pitfalls of doing it this way?
    Thanks

    David

Have the problems with tracking visits been sorted?Don't know I am afraid.
Is there is restriction on the number of times you can go in a month (looks like it might be 15?) I think that this relates to the vitality points that you can earn for a discount on next year.

LA Fitness have been offering 2 years for the price of 1 or 2 people for the price of 1 on their website if that is any help.

Mine's been much better recently - seems about 10 days until visits are added but they're all there, unlike when I first joined back in September..

Thank you! Re joining the gym first then joining the Pru Health scheme - the lady I spoke to at LA Fitness said that I could convert to the Pru Health scheme after joining the gym - does anyone know if this is true or if there are any benefits of doing it this way?

I was looking at Virgin so maybe it is different or depends on who you speak with. May be worth checking with pru , but not sure what they will say.

I joined Pru Health last Jan, got the free gym until July and cancelled Pru Health in Dec 07. How long do I need to wait until I can join again and get the gym deal?

I just checked my vitality points and it shows I've got 26 visits for this quarter. I checked the vitality gym statement and it shows I have 22 eligible visits for this quarter.

Do they take a while to update or is Pruhealth not counting 4 of them for some reason?

    Only 15 visits/month counts for twice-a-week thing;) .
So if I go 30 times one month, and nothing else on other 2 months, then that will count as just 15 visits in 3 month so be-careful:o .

On the other hand if you want to go every day, that's OK too, pointless (not health wise mind, point wise:p ) but OK.
