Hi hope someone can help. Really like this idea and trying to work out where I found out how much my monthly gym membership cost is. I know that if you go 2+ times a week it is cheaper but I don't know if my virgin active gym if a standard club tier 1 or tier2 or Multi standard club. Also looking for the same advice for LA Fitness.

Hope someone can help-thanks for looking.

Yes, apparently I've got to wait until I receive the Virgin membership pack. It can take up to five working days but 'should' be sooner.

No sign of the Prudential pack either.

Thanks to both Tingtong and Lisyloo for letting me know about the fitness test. Sounds good to me!

Update. I got a call from the gym on Friday (just two days after I signed up) to say that my membership card was ready to be collected. I signed the final bit of paperwork and was free to use the gym. Booked in for fitness test on Monday.

Arrived home on Friday night to find the Pru Health pack had arrived.

I realise now that I forgot to join the scheme via Boots. A pain, as I already have my contact lenses through them and that probably would have earned me points.

I'm sure its been posted before, but just in case ....you can sign up for this deal and get a 1000 boots points if you do it through them before 31st Jan. Received email today.

hope it helps someone. Haven't looked into it myself.
  • my aching body is proof that you can start going to the gym before your membership card arrives. :j:j

I went to Virgin Active for the first time today showed them my application forms and then gave them my membership number and they signed me in!

    Hi Everyone,

I popped into Cannons last night to have a look around and it looked pretty good. I was going through the prices with a member of staff and she pointed out that you can get two levels of membership: full and part time.

Can anyone confirm whether the Pru Deal gives you full access to the Gym or if it's just part time membership?

    Thank you! :)

    Happy New Year everyone!

I have decided to make the most common of all New Year resolutions and join the gym! I want to take up the PruHealth offer, but I'm a little confused.

Firstly, which is the better way to sign up? Via quidco and get £85 cashback or through Boots for 1000 points? Or can I go to Boots via the quidco link and take advantage of both offers? Is that possible?

Secondly, there appears to be nothing on the PruHealth website regarding gym membership? How do you get the membership?

Cheers in advance for all advice!

jeffkenny on the first page of pruhealth it mentions about how you can save on gym membership click on their link at it will give you lots f info.

I don't think that you can get both the 1000 points from boots and th quidco money. I would go for the quico money as it is £85 where as the boots points only equals to £10.

I think that the quotes directly and via pru health (quidco) should be them same but I would double check just to make sure.

I know that last year Boots did a deal in September for half price insurance wish I took it up now-plan on waiting until then as can afford £60 a month-this include £25 for the virgin active memeership.)
