  • One of the benefits of this was supposed to be to cancel anytime, but I was presented with a 12 month contract at Virgin and it was highlighted to me that this was a 12 month contract. Can anyone clarify whether we are still able to cancel anytime?:o

Does anyone know how much Cannons guest pass costs, and does the guest need to take the fitness assesment test?

£15 and no, they just fill in a small declaration form. I blagged a few free passes though when I joined.

Thanks. Nectar points deal of 500 points for a guest pass seems to be the cheapest option.
Small declaration form... My 'guest' is from abroad, and has a bit of a heart problem. Might need a doctors certificate in English then:o

Can anyone help me with working out how many times I need to go to the gym to get free membership?

My points statement says I've been 23 times between 2007/07/30 and 2007/10/14. I've been twice since 10/14, so 25 so far.

The quarter started 26 Jul 2007, and ends 31st October.

I spoke to Pruhealth and they said I had to go another 5 times to get the free membership next quarter. But I work out that there's about 13 weeks in the first quarter and 13 * 2 = 26, so surely I have to go 1 more time?
  • So can we get out of the 12 month contract with Virgin just by cancelling Pruhealth insurance?

I was looking at the T&C, found here:

It doesn't seem to me that you can cancel at any time, in fact it seems that there is an initial 12 month term and you can only cancel once the term is up.

Maybe I'm wrong, there is an understanding, at least on here that you can cancel at any time. But the only place I can find this mentioned is in the tip on the MSE website.

How is everyone getting on with the points. I have 1000 now and I've only been doing it for 3 months. If I go twice a week for the next 9 months I'll have 780 points and the 6 month fitness assessment will net me another 300 points, so I should easily make platinum and get the 100% discount.

    6 days in July
    31 days in August
    30 days in September
    31 days in October
    Total 98 days.

    Divide by 7 = 14 weeks.
    Twice a week = 28?

So they have 23 visits logged. You need 5 more, but since you've done 2, that's 3 more?
