I phoned up Pru about £100 JJB vouchers and they say I'll get them after a month. I read somewhere else about getting a free mountain bike, can I get this as well?0

I think I might also give them a call and see if I can get some JJB vouchers...DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0

As noted by Martin cheapest way to apply is via cashback sites, but if anyone has anything they need to declare this won't be 100% online and therefore won't track in which case take a look at boots.com
They are currently offering PruHealth with 50% off Premiums for the 1st year and 1000 Advantage Card points if you join by 31st August.
can't find anything about 50% off, where does it say that?0 -
Is this definately the case with the 12 month contract for Virgin as the website makes it seem as if your contract is with Pru and so you can cancel that and also cancel the gym. I have just relocated and wanted to take this offer up but was unsure if I would remain in the area for a year. Has anyone tried to cancel under a year?0

I took advantage of this offer last year under the old flat-rate scheme and have already qualified for Silver Vitality status on renewal in two months.
I see we seem to have a helpful Pru employee here so hopefully they will see this, but if anyone at all can advise on the following from their own experiences I will be grateful:
1) I would like to change to a different gym company. Will Pru charge me a fee to do so?
2) I missed out on the Quidco/whoever deal last year. Is it possible to not renew but then rejoin through Quidco in a month or so? This would have the added benefit of throwing in the 1st year discount again, which I suspect might be more generous than 50% of Current Year premium off next year's increased premium..
Thanks.0 -
Ok, no idea if this has been done already, but to satisfy my own curiosity I've drawn up a couple of spreadsheet models and thought some of you curious about the real costs of this may find them useful.
Any criticism of glaring errors appreciated - I'm not a maths person
The first calculates your estimated 1st and 2nd year premiums based on Vitality discount and the second sheet shows what the gym membership of your choice and user frequency is really costing you per month and per annum, once the health premium and administration fee have been factored in. The lower half of the second sheet allows you to enter your estimated 2nd year premium and see what the gym will cost then (for simple comparison).
All you need to do is enter on the first sheet the headline premium that Pru offer you, or if you're an existing customer the amount Pru charge you each month.

hmm, not sure if im reading this right but
I thought if you joined up to Pruhealth the gym was free.
But when ive just looked at their site, it says a £25 activation fee, three months subsidised which would be £90 and then fees are calculated quarterly - how is this free?0 -
Does anyone know if I can combine the gym offer if I sign up to pruhealth with boots? The boots quote is much cheaper.0

It's not free, it says on the first post cheap.0 -
my partner was going to do it through Pru Health and then while on the Boots website he found the same offer through Boots Insurance (same benefits/company) MUCH cheaper. So now he has cancelled the Pru Health and got the Boots one!!!He now has half price premiums and 1000 Advantage Card points as a result. (have to join by 30th August!)http://www.pruhealth.co.uk/uk/prudential/nosessionrequired/q2a/offer.jhtml?DW_SP_NCP=1185958394764&src_id=400&_requestid=32960
