Received yesterday (4 May) - activated yesterday - yet bundle expires 30 April.

So they're pre-activated, which means of course that any 'spares' intended to be activated by 29 June will have expired well before then - at the end of this month, in fact. :(

Well lets just wait and see what happens, after all everything we have received has been free and its given us a chance to see what Sainsbury's mobile service is like

I received my 3 (ordered via HUKD); I'd assumed that they would be activated on use so that I could use them sequentially for 3 months, but if they're pre-activated and all expire at the same time even if I don't use them then it's just a bit of a waste.

Actually, not all the free SIMs are coming pre-activated and even my pre-activated one appeared to be later re-activated giving me the full 30 days.

Come 29th June when I open my last SIM (and any pre-activation will have expired) so I shall just follow the rules and activate by making a call and expect to get my free bundle within 7 days as per the t&c's:
    Terms and Conditions
    • Free £15 bundle promotion applies to phones or SIMs purchased online between 25th March 2014 and 14th April 2014.
    • Free £15 bundle (800 minutes, unlimited texts & 2GB of data) will be automatically added to your account within 7 days of SIM activation.
    • Bundle will remain valid for 30 days from SIM activation.
    • SIMs not activated by 30th June will not qualify for the free £15 bundle.

Why not order a few more (just vary the name / address slightly).
[I've got 6 now for contingencies etc ]

Yeah didn't think of that mainly because it said if you want more you have to order separate so i just ordered them in my name and address

You're not 'pre-activated', therefore activation is as per the t&c's:
    Terms and Conditions
    • Free £15 bundle (800 minutes, unlimited texts & 2GB of data) will be automatically added to your account within 7 days of SIM activation.

I inserted the SIM this morning and made a short call, since when zilch.

I called CS who told me the system would update the bundle in at least 7 days. What? Well, it should be within 24 hours to be honest, quoth she. We'll see.
All up and running now, expires 5 May.

The '7 days' is clearly a nonsense and is presumably intended to cut down on those 'no coverage' queries, like mail order companies saying to allow 28 days for delivery when deliveries typically turn up with 2-3 days.
