I've had to go through the whole quote - maybe I should have said no to is it due for renewal this month! Aggghhhh! Started by saying I've seen a leaflet that says I get 500 points for getting a quote, is that right! He said yes, but gave me quote . . . . .

Hmmmm! Just rang and asked for a quote, and was asked when my insurance was due. I said November (the truth) and he said he couldn't quote that far ahead... I asked about the points, and he said they were only for people who got a quote! Not particularly impressed...

Tesco are getting wise to 'gizzers' as they were called, ie the callers who have just browsed through AutoTrader and have rung in for a quote (giz us a quote) on a car they are 'thinking' of buying (yeah right!) They are only taking the time to talk to a) Clubcard members b) if your insurance runs out in the next 30 days c) if you already own the car. The guy who answered was brilliant but the quote was £600 more than I am currently paying - they obviously don't like youngsters on your policy. It would have been a great quote if I had not had my son on the policy. However, the moral of the story is that I got my 500 points. Job well done. Thanks Martin, I missed the leaflet in store.

Easy ... got through and said a "friend" had told me about the car insurance and clubcard points. I was asked if I just wanted the points ..."yes please!"

Just Done it, used the sayNoTo0870 number, Got a quote. £5 minimum for 7.5mins work. Thats the way i like to do things. Thanks Martin Keep em coming.

Just earned a quick 500 points for doining next to nothing

it is very easy to do. all i did was ask for a quote on my existing car. i had to make out that is was up for renewal next week and i just happened to see the leaflet while i was shopping:D :T :rotfl: :money: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Just phoned up told them my insurance is due for renewal 20th Aug, which is true, he said he couldn't do the quote as it was more than 30 days and it would be invalid, but he would still give the the points!
Was only on the phone a couple of minutes!

I called last night, as I do actually need a quote.

Got answered within a minute and went through the quote. Asked if the points were going to be added and if she wanted my clubcard number. Said it wasn't required as the details will be picked up from the quote. We'll see if the points get added.

A pity they wanted to impose a £800 excess to get near the other prices I've been quoted!

I was told I owe them money from a previous policy I had (well OH had, I don't drive) with them 6 years ago!!! Well why not write to me at the time...they ain't getting it now!

She's just gone off to get form and left me hanging - how long does it take to pick up a form... :eek:

She just said I'd get them in my august statement

Wonder if I could get 2nd lot off points with OH card?:D
