I didn't have to have the car insurance quote...the young lady just said she'd put the points straight onto my account....no bartering at all. Needed my membership number only. All in all it took me about 2 minutes - great result!

insurance due 15th july so needed a quote anyway.

man didnt sound very happy, but took me through the quote which was £140 more than my present company, esure with sainsburys.

i asked about the free points and he told me they had already been added to my account automatically. (like i would know!)

Just rang and got through to a right mare of an advisor. He asked some details then asked for the engine size so told him I didn't know but I had the engine capacity (ringing about my bloke's car as I don't drive and know nothing about cars) and he said "well if you don't have the details I can't give you the quote and if I can't give you the quote I can't give you the points so ring back"

Funny thing is he didn't ask when the current policy was going to run out and that's in January.

:T I have also just rung tesco thinking i would need to go through the renewal quaote process but no, once i told the advisor i wanted the bonus points quote, he asked whether i really wanted a quote or just have the points, so i bit my tongue and said points, a voila i got them with no hassle or questions asked!!

I telephoned (on the say no to 0870 number), got through no problem and didn't have to wait long, got a quote (which was way above my renewal) and when asked where I heard about Tesco Insurance mentioned the leaflet. Was told the points would go on my statement direct from my details given for the quote if my Tesco card was in the same name.:T am now going to use the 3 main checking sites plus Direct line.

really naughty but just phoned up for this and got the points and i don't have a car! I said it was up for renewal end of august but as it is outside the 30day period was told I would get the points anyway

Just phoned, very nice lady asked if i just wanted the points, and i said yes coz i could do a quote online! Only queued for 3 mins. Brilliant!

Just phoned, spoke to nice guy who said they couldn't give me a quote as my renewal was too far away but could have the points anyway! Fab!
