Well after the rude girl and reading back through the pages, I decided it was just her.
I complained to Clubcard and they said itwas not acceptable as if Tesco was offering points for a quote regardless of whether I just wanted points or a quote, it was not for her to be rude to me.
I rang back and I got a lovely guy who added points, they changed the system today and it takes a while to find it, Also he said that was probably why she didnt try. He said that he will look into the time and name of rude person.


So if you get knocked back try again.

Got a quote today (and the 500 points wey hey) quote is more than twice the lowest quote I have recieved already from kwik-fit of £405 with £100 excess. It has to be said that I wont be calling them back to take the policy of £957 with an excess of £300. They did offer just the points with no quote but since insurance is due in 4 weeks I took the quote.

Worth the call for just the points though. Be a day trip for the kids using Tesco deals.

Just rang the 0113 number - said I'd seen a leaflet for points with a quote. She asked when my insurance was due and I said September. She told me she couldn't quote that far in advance - was i just after the points?!

I said "yes" in a very small voice (felt like I'd been rumbled!) and she took my details and gave me the points!

All over in 2 mins. Been texting everyone!

thanks to the OP, rang the 0113 390 4000 number and was put through to the insurance dept; the very helpful lady asked me straightaway if I wanted the points only - way hay! 500 points for less than 2 mins on the phone!

Called and first chap said could not quote and never offered points, so I redialled and no probs, nicer chap said can't quote but can give you some points. Said points will be on September mailing. Don't you just love Tesco Marketing Team!
