My wife has received 500 Tesco points from a car insurance quote, it is so easy like taking candy from a baby, she didn't even have to wait for a quote, they just gave them to her.

I phoned the geographical number and got through to an operator straight away, who then transferred me to the car quote dept. I told them my insurance was due mid August, but could not do it over the phone as it was too far ahead, suggesting I go online to get a quote. Concerned there was no mention of the clubcard points, I asked whether they were available online (proving to be a good line to use!). The reply was no, but they would have to give them to me over the phone then - I didn't argue the point. My name, address and clubcard number were asked for - job done, in less than 4 minutes. Well done again Martin & crew - you are stars! Thanks for a terrific facility.

Two people from the same household are able to do this if they have different clubcards according to the lady I spoke to on the telephone.

i'm a bit naughty because i have never had a car and therefore can't apply for renewal of insurance, but i called up and said that i was going to buy a car in september. the lovely chap on the end of the line said he'd give me the points anyway :)

I phoned up and said my quote wasn't due yet but I'd like a quote anyway as I'm planning to move house and last time I moved house I had to cancel my old policy and get a new policy because the old provider wouldn't cover my new address (that is true, very annoying it was!).

Anyway the first person I spoke to put me through to another department, and I said the same thing to the new person. This new person obviously didn't understand I actually wanted a quote, and said she would just give me the 500 points and I could get a new quote when my insurance was due for renewal.

So I said OK yes thanks, she took my clubcard number, and she said I would be getting the 500 points.

    Easy peasy! Thanks very much!

  • I telephoned for a car insurance quote today and evewn though the renewal date is some 3 months hence. I was advised to call back for a quote once the renewal quote has has been recieved from my current insurer BUT that 500 points will be credited to my account anyway.

So, the offer is still running and it's certainly worth taking advantege of.

    Good luck.
