Well I had to phone (because I'm saving up for a weekend away at legoland next year). First time I was told that because I said my renewal wasn't due until August then they couldn't quote.
Left it 20 mins and had another go. I may have said it was due for renewal at the end of July...... Some may call that a 'lie'. Got the quote (not too bad actually) and 500 pts. Result!
Legoland here we come.:j0 -
I would just like to say workin for RBS and taking these most annoyin calls off ppl just lying to get points and muckin with ppls conversions which basiclly puts ppls jobs on the line if they dnt hit these strick sales targets to just say at the start of the call

Just rung and got straight through. Got a quote valid for 90 days but she didn't want my clubcard number and said points would be added in about 6 weeks. Not holding my breath on this one as she was very uninterested when I asked about points deal.0

I just got through straight away and told the bloke I was told if I rang that number for a quote I could get 500 clubcard points. He asked if I just wanted the points without a quote and when I said "Yes actually" he said that was no problem and added them onto my card!
See being honest saved a lot of unnecessary time wasting for both of us!! :j
Thanks for the tip!!I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!
I seem to have a nasty habit of killing threads!0 -
Just rang tesco on the 0845 number and got straight through [10am]. I was wanting a quote for my husbands car insurance which is due at the end of the month. She said she couldn't do it without him being there. She also would not quote on my own insurance as was just over a month before that renewal. I mentioned leaflet and points and she took my clubcard number and said points would be automatically credited. Thankyou Martin. XXXX0

:beer:Just phoned, said i didn't have full car reg she said don't worry i'll put the club points on and you can phone again...
wonderful another day thanks Mr T0 -
Thanks again to MSE - very friendly chap from a UK call centre just added 500 points to my clubcard without the need for a quote. The first question he asked - "do you just want the points?" When I sheepishly admitted this was the case, he said, "no problem, I won't waste your time with a quote then, just give me your clubcard number."
I've now got enough points for a full service and MOT at my local Nationwide garage, and have just redeemed some for RAC cover. Loving all these points deals!Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A
