Yes, really is that easy, I need a quote anyway, got the 500 points to my account, disappointed with the quote though it was £130 more than my current provider!

Hey, no worries though, every little helps, putting the money towards my christmas meal money I saving for!

It worked for me - I just rang now and only had to wait about 5 minutes before being put through and I told them I wanted a quote for November but I didn't want to miss out on the offer - no problem have the points without the quote - will have to see in November if it actually happens as what comeback would we have if they didn't give them to no quote receivers??

For 20p its worth the risk though!

Also how do i use these ? I normally just get sent cash vouchers along with statement and spend them instore. Do i need to stop these or not spend them to get a better deal ?

Nice easy way to get free Tesco points but nothing is given away for free.....they now have the information you volunteered and they can contact you whenever they want with insurance quotes and try to sell you something else. For those who did not get quotes, when the time comes for your insurance renewal, because you volunteered your information by making the call, you can all expect a call from Tesco Insurance whether you like it or not.....small price to pay for £20 though, eh?

Use them as clubcard deal vouchers - they are worth 4 times the amount. I.e. £10 of vouchers will get you £40 of deals!

Just spoke to a lovely lady who said as my renewal isn't due til end of August (lie!!!) if i called back around the 5th of August.....they will still add my points when I actually get a quote

I'm very new to this forum but have been receiving the MSE weekly email for sum time now, i have just phoned Tesco for a quote and the first time i called they told me i could get a cheaper quote online so never gave me the chance to ask for a quote.
Being a heavy "money saver" i phoned again and was told they could not quote me but would give the points anyway (i never asked or mentioned the points to the lady on the phone she just gave them to me!) nice one Martin!

well done Crabman & Martin,
i've just phoned, received a qoute and my 500points. i was asked if my car insurance was due for renewal in the next 30days. i said no but, i was loking for ways to cut down on my spending, which is certainly true.
i am now 500 points better off.
